Thanks for both the constructive criticism and the praise on the maf. I'm not sure if you know but we took all the comments from the first kit and redesigned the intake tube and the fittings. We also completely eliminated the electronic conversion box and now use a calibrated OEM maf sensor element.
I'm sorry you are having problems with the kit. The clamps are only available in size ranges. The next size up left a lot of extra clamp when installed and it didn't look very good. some customers brought this to our attention so we went with a clamp with a better appearance when installed...
The IAT being off doesn't really matter anyway especially with a tune. The cars pretty much run off the knock sensor and give the car as much timing as it will take without detonating. Comparing it with the outside temp gauge isn't the best idea either, those are off as well.
Problem is that it's right on the 11-13 because the plug has to point to the back.. we just aren't lasering them anymore. We are just going to include a sticker for the customer to place on the maf if they want. Too many applications use that housing in different orientations.
Here is one from early development. This is also the right way to develop parts that flow air into your engine that perform well and not just "look" like they should perform well.
Our shape actually flows a lot more than a standard bend.
The red is where air "piles up" (increases restriction) In a way it makes the flowing part of the pipe smaller. When you look at this pic, our elbow makes a lot more sense.

We tried making an enclosed box work. Without cutting holes in your car to port more air into the enclosure a closed box will always lose power over an open. IN MY OPINION (Nick today) the whole "cold air" term has been turned into a marketing tool and parts are starting to be designed around...
We saw a gain of 7WHP with the JLT on the same day and with the same car we made 20 with. We made a calibrated sensor for the JLT to test it without a tune in the same way we make our no tune required kit work. We we curious to see actual no tune gains with the JLT. I'm sorry we did not have...
