I was at CarMax looking at some Mustangs of different years and different models. They all had the issue where the top left part of the fuel door and the body are not flush. I guess it is by design.
I recently got a 2018 EcoBoost Premium with automatic transmission. I started to notice this noise coming from the back when the car is at around 50 mph. It’s like a low grinding noise, almost like the same noise from a cloth dryer. Noise is much more noticeable when foot is on the gas pedal...
Another question about the fuel door. It is not locked when the car is locked. Is it how it is supposed to be? All my other cars would lock the fuel doors when the cars are locked.
Looks like the plastic hinge is not broken on mine. It doesn't wobble like the one in the video on the other thread. It is more like a fitting issue. Just wondering if there's a way to adjust it.
I just noticed the fuel door is not completely flush with the body on my 2018 EcoBoost. You can see the shadow in the top left direction.
How can I fix this?
I totally agree.
After looking for some time, I bought a 2018 EcoBoost two weeks ago. I would rather drive a car that I like now than wait for 1 year and still pay the same price or even more.
I work in electronic industry, chip shortage is going to get worse. Many components we order now...
I started this thread trying to find out if there was anything wrong with my car. I bought it from CarMax so I could return it within 30 days if I wanted. After some more testing, I think Hill Start Assist is working the way it is supposed to. Thanks for all your inputs.
Just like seatbelt...
I think Hill Start is still engaged, but the car would roll downhill very very slowly, instead of completely standing still. Just not sure of that's how it's supposed to work, or there is some issue with my brake.
I have a question on Hill Start Assist. Say I stop the car on a slope, take my foot off the brake pedal, and after a second or so the car starts to roll down very very slowly. Is it normal? Shouldn't Hill Start Assist apply the brake 100% so that the car would not roll at all? My car is...
I picked up a used 2018 EcoBoost from CarMax this past weekend. Although it is used, it is very very clean inside and out. My daughter decided to ride with me home and she brought with her two McFlurrys without any napkins. We sat in the car and finished the McFlurrys without any incident...
So after searching for sometime in this crazy used car market, I finally got myself a 2018 ecoboost premium. Everything is great except that, ironically, CarPlay is not working.
I connect my phone thru USB cable and it can see my phone but it never gets to the actual CarPlay screen.
I try...
Thanks everyone. Now I can focus my search on the ones with 8" screen/Sync3, but they are hard to come by. Looks like most of them from Carmax/Carvana are the base model with the smaller screen. S650 is coming out next year, right? Hope, by that time, a lot of S550 owners would trade in...
Hello,
I am looking to buy an used s550 Mustang. With the limited research I did, I would try to avoid the first year (2015) model as well as the ones with the small LCD screen. What else should I pay attention to? Is there any preference between the 6 speed auto and 10 speed auto? I really...
