  1. Selling GT350R for new Porsche 718 Spyder?

Yes, I will probably drive the Spyder about 5k miles per year- maybe more. Thanks for the feedback.
  2. Selling GT350R for new Porsche 718 Spyder?

Hello all, I am considering taking the plunge for the new Porsche 718 Spyder and was hoping someone could talk me out of the purchase. Yes, I realize our cars are mega special and it's comparing an apple to an orange but I've owned a few Porsches in the past and they're very special cars as...
  3. Georgia WTB GT350R

Are you still looking for an R? I'm considering selling my 2020 R. Oxford White w/ Kona Blue stripes. All options except carbon dash. Chassis # LR001. 1600 miles, flawless. Live in Milton, Ga near you.
  4. Any chance this is normal? Picking up car, not looking good.

It's a Ford not a Porsche... as phenomenal as the car is, it's still a $35,000 base car that was built as such. If you can get past those issues you will forever remember the car as the most exciting, visceral sports car you've ever owned- unless you win powerball and step up to a 911 Gt2 RS...
  5. Engine and vehicle break in period for 2020 GT350R

    Oh hell, not this topic....again.
  6. New GT350 Paint Chipping on Hood Edge

Like I said, the issue isn’t due to poor adhesion. It’s a paint run from the factory that’s become a “chip”. Hopefully the OP hasn’t taken your advice and opened up a can of worms that could have been avoided with a skilled painter... If the OP doesn’t “pick” at the area and cause more paint...
  7. 2020 R Oil Separator

Get both drivers and passengers side. Everyone reports slight oil accumulation on the passenger side and some report occasional accumulation on the drivers side- why risk it on such a nice car? The Ford factory parts look the best and they're not difficult to clean out... just remove the four...
  8. New GT350 Paint Chipping on Hood Edge

Having spent twenty years in the collision business, that's the worst idea imaginable. If the chip spreads, it will likely lead to a complete repaint on the top surface of the hood- especially aggravating if you have stripes. Don't do anything to it except take it to a high end body shop and...
  9. Angry Neighbor Uses Expanding Foam To Silence Mustang GT's Exhaust

That sorry bastard would be buying a new set of teeth and walking with a permanent limp if he vandalized my vehicle. There are three things you don't mess with- another man's wife, his dog or his car. Dumb prick.
  10. Dealer/Paint/Warranty Question

Are you 100% sure that's the paint flaking? That looks like the residual layer of the decal still left on the paint not the actual paint itself.... go buy some 3m adhesive remover from an autoparts store, spray it on and carefully remove the rest of the decal. Start with all of the white areas...

  12. Limited-Edition Shelby GT350, GT350R Heritage Edition Package

Congratulations on your HEP! I live in Milton. Us Georgia boys need to schedule a meetup soon. I’d love to see that Wimbledon white in person!
  13. GT350R Crash

Wow man, that's terrible. At least you're not hurt. You're looking at $15-20k in damage. Make sure the undercarriage is inspected carefully and refrain from starting her up in case the composite oil pan got cracked. Best of luck.
  14. Oil Temp

It sure as hell isn't warm when you have R compound tires. Lol.
  15. Another 2020 GT350 engine failure

I’m sorry about your unfortunate circumstance. Sucks big time. I know your car had only 5 miles from the dealer but out of curiosity, do you remember how many miles were on your vehicle after the vendors were done with it?
  16. Another 2020 GT350 engine failure

Unless this is the owners manual for a C8 Z06, this info means nothing...thanks for adding more confusion to the mix.
  17. Oil Temp

FYI, my '20 will get up to 205 degrees when it's 50-60 degrees out. I believe Ford modified the grill opening along the way to reduce air flow and cut down on drag somewhat. This would explain the slightly higher operating temps.
  18. Another 2020 GT350 engine failure

Agreed that the flat plane crank design is very unique and maybe a little temperamental... I also believe that the oil pump could be the achilles heal of these motors. It would support the theory of never revving these things out when cold. Good to hear that you'll utilize engine braking as...
  19. Another 2020 GT350 engine failure

I suspect that in a large portion of the engine failures, operator error was the cause. Either people revving the piss out of their cold motors or running low on oil without knowing it. I'm also skeptical of the morons at the dealerships who (yes, I'm saying it) don't have the common sense to...
  20. Another 2020 GT350 engine failure

I sure hope you’re wrong about the bad “early batch” for 2020. I managed to purchase chassis #001 last October and currently have just over 700 miles on the clock. I believe mine was built in August. Mine runs like a raped ape so far and hasn’t burned a drop of oil. I’ve also been judicious in...
