  1. Steeda's Video Series - H or X Pipe?

Just to add my 2Č» worth, as Steeda touched on in the video regarding the sound characteristics. Both pipes add power across the entire RPM range by removing the flow restrictive factory resonator. The H-Pipe will provide an additional power bump low to mid range where as the X-Pipe bumps...
  2. Modifying As-Built Data Guide

In my '15GT-PP, from the factory my speedo read ~ 4.5% slow. Pretty good difference $$$ wise when you target 79 in a 70 zone and you're actually doing 82.5 mph... All of this was verified by cell phone real time GPS MPH app ~@ 70 mph. (There is the parallax effect when reading the analog...
  3. Looking for Lloyd 50 year floor mats

I bought them back in '15 for mine after seeing them in a 50th LE. I decided to go GT-PP 50th Trim instead because I had performance mods on my list of things to do. Decided not to do that to a LE... I never thought they would become unavailable, who knew. Sorry, not for sale BUT there are a few...
  4. Anyone had their cars dyno tuned on site with Steeda?

You may find that Steeda's install price to actually be cheaper when you consider they have installed their parts on lots of Mustangs. They know the time effective way to do it and also their expertise guarantees it will be done right the first time. Most things suspension wise will require 4...
  5. Anyone had their cars dyno tuned on site with Steeda?

@Allentown, I forgot to mention, I've had many Steeda parts installed by their technicians. Yea it costs a little more, but there's no question of their proficiency and the exceptional care they take with your car. Any mod that takes a lift or crawling under the car is well worth it...
  6. Anyone had their cars dyno tuned on site with Steeda?

I've had mine Dyno tuned at Steeda, in Pompano Beach, FL. Well worth the effort, especially if you have done some modifications and what to grap every bit of fine tuning power. Their tunes are done exclusively in house and not sent out to Lund, this includes the emailed tunes.
  7. Time to get your Mustang Track Ready

A holiday pleasant surprise to find my car used as a back drop in your advertising again. I can provide an update, The goodies listed above have quite a bit more track time now and WITHOUT any issues. I've got to hand it to the Steeda Team !!! full ad...
  8. Steeda tunes anyone?

At the time I had mine done at Steeda in Pompano Beach, the Voodoo IM & TB tune was only offered as a Dyno tune session. Since I live only a few miles away and wanted to ensure it was optimally tuned for Track but still maintain acceptable daily driver Street performance, this was the only way...
  9. Steeda tunes anyone?

My first Steeda tune was back in '15 after I added their no-restrictor CAI. Nice! The second tune was for the GT350 IM & TB swap I did nearly a year ago. Proven as a daily driver on the street and on the track - AWESOME!!! The ever mounting number of wins by Steeda's Yellow #20 2015 Mustang...
  10. Lining intake boxes with heat resistant material

A few more tidbits to add for what it’s worth; My IAT always reads 2 °F higher than the ambient temperature reading. This is measured BEFORE starting the engine and after allowing more than 24 hours to elapse since last engine run. This seems to be consistent with most reporting the same...
  11. Lining intake boxes with heat resistant material

I slightly agree with you. In short, I chose reliability over absolute maximum performance. Here's why: Something black will absorb radiant heat (infrared rays, AKA radiant heat waves) very efficiently. Something black will also radiate via infrared very efficiently. A reason your car radiator...
  12. Steeda intake/tune or pmas intake/Lund?

I choose to go with the Steeda CAI back in the fall of '15, no restrictor and their tune with SCT X4 tuner. Love it! The Steeda air tube has a sweeping bend rather than the abrupt PMAS bend, seems less restrictive to me... The IAT dropped 6-7 degrees from stock. I added the insulation and...
  13. Lining intake boxes with heat resistant material

I added these and dropped another 1 degree IAT. Only the driver side is functional, the passenger side is blocked off.
  14. Lining intake boxes with heat resistant material

Forgot to add, I dropped 6 - 7 degrees IAT as compared to the OEM setup before the insulation was added. Now that's a significant improvement. (which took less time than insulating)
  15. Lining intake boxes with heat resistant material

I did the insulation thing using foam with aluminum top cover tape, bought at Lowes or Home Dept. (don't remember which store) By observations of IATs compared to ambient over time (a few highway trips) I found a 1.5 degree reduction before vs. after insulation. I say 1.5 because sometimes it...
  16. Stainless Works + False Knock

The knock sensor seemed to be disturbed at multiple frequencies (comes and goes at different RPMs) in an evenly spaced pattern on the dyno data logger, so YES, I conclude also includes harmonics of the resonant frequency, OR coincidence of each touching pairs of primary tubes hitting its...
  17. Stainless Works + False Knock

I spoke with Stainless Works. They were very responsive and did admit they have had a "couple" of headers that caused False Knock due to primary tubes vibrating together. The also said they do not tack weld and never have to resolve the problem. Their approach is to grind the welds off on the...
  18. Stainless Works + False Knock

I definitely took care of the A/C bracket when I installed, ground down the stud and bracket to ensure clearance, no contact marks present. Yep, lifetime warrantee but I haven't spoken to them yet. Will do 1st thing in the morning.
  19. Stainless Works + False Knock

The problem presented itself during a current Dyno tuning session. The characteristic rattling sound is present when a rubber mallet is applied to the collector. Wedging a screw driver between the primary tubes near the collector and/or tightening a hose clamp wrapped around the 4 primary tubes...
  20. What can we do for You?

Benny, What is the difference/improvement between the old IM GR3Z-9424-B and the new one GR3Z-9424-C ? I've only heard durability but nothing specific.
