  1. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

Harrop replied to my email and said they will not be covering the cost of the labour involved. They will only cover provided the oil line failed. Basically, suck it up and fix it yourself. Here's what was instructed. The image sucks and you can't tell what is where unless you know what you're...
  2. My reverse warning sounds just changed sound

Yeah mine does it too like once in a while, maybe every month or two just the one time. If I turn off the car and start it up again/lock and unlock the doors it will go back to normal. Only seems to happen in cases when I turn off the car and lock the doors and then quickly unlock the doors and...
  3. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

Just a heads up, I got an email from Harrop regarding their Oil Cooler installation. Apparently some things need fixing so that's fun. EDIT: Just to clarify in case you have the cooler installed and haven't received an email. There's a chance one of the hoses will rub so they're recommending...
  4. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

That's crazy. You guys over east have all these crazy regulations regarding P platers and they seem to be unable to handle any form of power. I bought my stang before I even got my L's over here in WA and learnt how to drive in it and have been driving it ever since, now I'm on my green P's.
  5. Wiper blades replacement

Ok so I did some measurements and crap so I don't have to deal with this in the future. Needed new wipers for my other car anyway which luckily uses the same attachment as the Mustang so I had a chance to play around with some combinations for the cars. Here it is for anyone in the future to...
  6. Wiper blades replacement

The LHD and RHD models have different wipers and sizes. I tried finding the bosch icons in Australia as it was my first option but gave up after about 15 minutes and said fuck it I guess I'll get the wipertechs.
  7. Wiper blades replacement

They're lying to you to make more money. Name and shame them. It's literally a 30 second process to change (including starting the car to move the wipers up). Last time I just got them from wipertech, they have $10 off around the end of every month, next one might be around black friday so...
  8. Lund Tune Details

I got a Lund tune, still within 6 months so I haven't posted a review yet but so far it's been excellent. Their 93AKI (98 here)tune was too aggressive for our shit 98 fuel so they tweaked and detuned it a bit. Let them know your fuel is garbage (or in yank language - your gas is trash) as when...
  9. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

Had the Harrop Kit installed early today. .So far so good, in my 20 mins of driving compared to stock oil cooler, noticed the ECT was consistently about 2C or more colder and the Cylinder head temps dropped temps much quicker than before, but I have a Lund tune which basically sets the fan speed...
  10. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

For leather/interior cleaning, I usually just spray on Meguair's quick interior detailer and use a soft detailing brush on the leather and hard to reach places and then basically coat everything including the leather with 303 aerospace for UV protection.
  11. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

Yep I remember that, I was planning on ordering early last month and they didn't have stock until late Aug/early Sep due to waiting on parts. I ordered a couple of hours ago and they sent me an email saying it's ready to ship today via TNT, should arrive in a week or so.
  12. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

Was debating either getting a set of Michelin 4S's or the Harrop oil cooler. Thought I'd do the smart thing and get the oil cooler since my tyre tread is still good. For anyone reading this in the future, called Harrop and they said it was the last one available so make sure you give them a...
  13. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

How do you stop the rotors from rusting during a wash and throwing dust onto the rims right after you wash them and go for a drive? Do you just accept your fate and clean them with a microfibre towel after the first drive? That's what I'm doing :(
  14. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

Did you ever get a resolution with Ford NZ/AU regarding your oil cooler failure?
  15. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

Heads up for anyone looking to purchase a Harrop kit. Tried to purchase it from their website over the weekend as it said 2-3 days wait but the order wouldn't go through as it said it was out of stock at checkout. Gave them a ring today and they said it was at least 4 weeks out as they were...
  16. Aussie Exhausts

Sounds amazing. I got the invidia q300 2.75" too and it's way better than the pricetag would suggest. Just a head up for anyone in the future reading this though, back when I bought it about 3-4 months ago I got one of the last ones straight from invidia, was told they were discontinuing the...
  17. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

$1400 is so cheap it hurts me. I'm getting quotes of $1700+ regardless of Harrop or SF kits over in WA. Although I'm mostly thinking of getting the Harrop kit, I don't feel it's worth going the SF route with a Mishimoto core and parts if it's the same price.
  18. What Performance Pack parts made into the UK GT 2015-17?

Not from UK, but as far as I know in the Australian RHD version we also got - Larger radiator Torsen Differential with 3.55 Axle Ratio (Automatic) Not sure about the others as I haven't look deep enough to check.
  19. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

That's pretty crazy. My fuel consumption in the last 1200km has been about 10.8-11l/100km and most of that done in sports+ mode with manual paddle shifts. Long term consumption has been about 11~11.2l/km. A/c always on, never have thought about saving fuel etc. I only use BP 98/Shell V Power 98...
  20. Aircon stopped working

I had both the Ford warranty on it (although on the cusp of ending) and the extended AHG warranty on it that also covered a failing a/c compressor. Ford dealer was AHG as well. Basically just went "yep, we confirmed the compressor is failing, we've ordered the part and it should be ready for...
