Available R on Rennlist
There are currently 3 R's for sale on The Porsche classifieds on Rennlist. All have pretty good markup but this one is owned by the owner of a Porsche/McLaren dealer. It's Avalanche with no electronics at 79K and 500 miles...
Gent's,
Aside from the obvious difference in protection will I be happy with the way the Shroth Quick fit works. I am on the fence about installing either of the cages. I am not sure how many trackdays or events I am going to do at this point. I would like some feedback or advice if anyone...
Gent's,
I haven't been able to find or source red mirror covers for the R. I guess the ones I have seen must have been wrapped? Also, before I ham fist it is there a proper way to remove the cover?
Thanks in advance..
He is probably referring to the new 2018 GT3 not the RS which has been out two years. And to answer your question, you have no idea how hard. Waiting lists can vary from 4 to 14 people per car...
IMO this is spot on. The voodoo is tuned to have a stout power band above 5K were you spend your time on the track. The torque numbers are ok but it's actually a tad lazy down low for a 5.2 Litre car. As others have noted this is track day special aimed at the Germans. I think some of the other...
These guys can provide any color outside stripe you need. You might be able to go over the white but personally I don't think it will look right. The Big Worm stripes are only $350 for a complete kit (which is better quality 3M vinyl and a lot less than the factory $3000!). I used them to switch...
Well stated. I probably chose my words wrong. Any car at the price of an R is expensive. After selling my GT3 the only two cars I considered were the GT350R or a Porsche GT4. Since I have experienced several German GT cars over the years I decided to go in a different direction with the R. I...
Really depends on what you are used to. Personally I daily drive my R with NO issues. It's actually even a tad easier to deal with than my last car which was a 991 GT3. The upright seating position and height makes it easier to get in and out of than the Porsche as well. Don't take this the...
Exactly! Is that about 8K over? Unless you have an allocation for an 2018 at 5K over and are willing to go without a car for another 18 months. That is a very good buy in my opinion if that color works. Lowest R I have seen on the market that is available in the last 3 months. Of course it's too...
FWIW, I switched out the stock 1 piece Blue factory stripe on my Oxford White R to a Matte black stripe from Big Worm Graphics. Yes the factory stripe is one piece, but IMO it is not a very good quality vinyl. They are also stupid expensive at around $1500! The Big Worm stripes are $350, better...
Three GT350R's on Rennlist
I am sure most of you know this but there are three R's for sale on the Rennlist classifieds. A Red, Grabber Blue and AG. All have 500 dealer miles or less. Two of them are 89K and the AG car is perfect and is 79K. Thought I would let you know. I can get you the link...
That will be a beast. Love the arms race in the sports car world! Not a Corvette guy or a fan of supercharged cars but that could be close to a low 7 minute Ring car. See the Ring decal on the bumper? Kinda cool...
Most R's start right around 68K. Mine had the electronics pkg and was 68,120. In regard to this ADM thing. I have been on both sides of this issue. I have been on the side of not being able to buy a car I wanted because I couldn't pay the ADM and I have been on the side where I could afford an...
Congrats! Came from a 991 GT3 to a 350R myself. Give yourself some time to get used to it. It's a very different car obviously from your Porsche's but it's extremely capable. It will grow on you by the day and then one day you will realize it puts a shit eatin grin on your face every time you...
Even if they make a MY 2018 there will only be 1500 R cars total. Just in case you didn't know Porsche made over 4500 GT3RS's worldwide at 225K a piece and an ADM of about 25K per car this year. 1500 is a pretty low number..
