Your comments in bold about the power curve have me really excited for this mod. One of my dislikes about the stock coyote is how it feels elastic. A revving N/A should feel linear and peaky in my eyes. 2 hours install time sounds great, I can definitely tackle this over the xmas break. Bring on...
I'm currently looking for 285/35 or 275/35 for my square set up in 19 inch. How long are you expecting to get out of the PS4? I hear they are fantastic but if I'm spending $2500 on tyres I want them to last more than 10,000 kms.
My rear pirellis are dead after 6500 kms.
That is my thinking. Rumoured gains of 5hp with the larger TB - 9.5/10 people won't even feel that. The weather makes a bigger difference! Do you run a different oil because of the e85? Or just change more frequently?
What's the approximate time to install the IM if doing a first time DIY using the JDM harness extension and other bits in their kit? Some are saying one of their hoses did not fit properly?
JFox86 i am in Aus and don't trust anyone here to tune so going to go with Lund remote tune. Hence I was following their advice. I'd prefer max throttle response so I might just go with it and be a bit of a pain for them. They offer 3 months free revisions anyhow. Did you need to buy a different...
JFox86 how much of that do you think was down to the tune? How was the car running before with your previous tuner? Not being facetious, just trying to gather info. The TB is only $90 from autonation white bear lake but I don't want to mess with throttle surge given my car is a daily.
Excellent, I am still undecided whether to go with the tune first or go straight to the 350 manifold. On one hand it would be nice to see the gains as I add mods but on the other power all the way to 7500 sounds so good!
Does anyone know the instal time for the GT350 manifold if doing DIY...
I thought the same thing. What I find interesting is that many people running the larger TB have preached that Lund now has the tune for this perfected. So why would Lund themselves be advising against this TB if they have the receipe to get it right? Perhaps some of those people with the TB...
Interestingly, when I asked Lund about whether to go with the 87mm TB or stock 80mm, they said they prefer their customers to run the stock TB. That the larger TB gains nothing and can contribute to throttle surge at part throttle in low RPM.
My previous daily driver was a 2016 A45 AMG which is the same car as the CLA45 but in hatchback form. You guys stateside don't get the A45, which is unfortunate because it's the quickest and best handling of the bunch (also looks way cooler with the aero package). I replaced this car with my...
Just bumping this thread.
All BC guys still happy? Josh_TypeX so your RS coilovers use the factory front strut mounts? That's bloody annoying that the RA camber tops are not adjustable IN the car! Major fail at design there. I have Steeda camber plates on my car at the moment, I suppose I...
Absolutely. They're a good street set up for those who like to stick to normal road speeds. Anything more than that and they are compromised.
Re: the ridetech guys, what is the purpose of only adjusting rebound? Most single adjustable set ups I've seen adjust rebound and compression, not just...
I'm running the FRPP bars on stiff setting too. The cornering ability is quite good, it sits flatish, but the individual dampening at each wheel is not ideal resulting in a lack of feel as to what the tyres are doing. The most annoying aspect is how the weight shifts back and forth under rapid...
I'm interested in these coilovers for dual use daily and track use. I currently have BMR handling springs paired with FRPP track struts/shocks and the car is just terribly soft, vauge and floaty to me. Feels like the chassis is riding on top of the suspension rather than them working as one...
I have had this sitting at home for about 6 months. I guess I should get onto it. I bought the higher viscosity diff oil as well. I think it was about $200 landed (which is the most I have ever paid for any gear oil).
845 is great stuff but it definitely stains the plastic trim. I could never get it off. Anyone have a tip for that?
And I find it lasts months, not weeks. Great stuff
I sent Lund an email two days ago but have yet to hear a response. Probably due to the weekend but their communication system seems to be very good.
For those who ordered through Lund, do you select 91-93 RON? I assume they need to tune for our Aus spec cars and fuel but there is no option for...
