  1. Seems values are holding nicely!

Currently 27.4 over 10k miles. Motorway and A roads mainly. Not bad for a V8.
  2. Anarchy Motive ripped me off

I ordered one 18 months ago - and no I hadn't seen all the negative feedback at the time. Anyway, so far, no knob, no money back and no answer to emails asking, "where is it?" If he's not a crook, he does a pretty good impression of one...
  3. Makes our Mustangs look supersonic

Yeah, I think the picture in the ad is misleading the cop hasn't pulled the Dolomite over, I think they've actually both broken down and are waiting for the AA's low-loader...
  4. Steeda Clutch Spring

This is exactly my experience too. For me the Steeda spring is much better.
  5. Makes our Mustangs look supersonic

Ha! Excellent. I never liked Triumphs before, but now I want one. Maybe they should come with something to help them avoid detection, like a radar jammer.... oh, but wait...that's prison forever again isn't it?
  6. Makes our Mustangs look supersonic

Ah, those were the days, when you could advertise a car by making a virtue of how fast it goes! Do that now and you'd be in prison for ever....
  7. What would you have bought if Mustang not came to UK?

A Westfield 250 Sport. Had a test drive and everything. Bought the Mustang because I figured I'd ultimately get more use out of it. So you see a 5 litre V8 is the sensible choice...
  8. New Owner

Green or black? Think if I bought a Bullitt, because I'm a contary sod, it'd have to be black....
  9. Vehicle VED tax

Well, again all entirely true, but I'd keep that stuff about wet fingers in the air to yourself. If the gummint get a hold of that idea, they'll deffo run with it...
  10. Vehicle VED tax

Well this is all true and next time out I was planning on going electric. However, I wasn't intending that next time should be quite so soon. If VED on the stang becomes unaffordable, it will be a very heavy hit. I can't afford to run the car because VED is too expensive. I can't sell the car...
  11. Vehicle VED tax

I saw this yesterday and it is quite troubling even if it is just for "discussion". I think the most worrying aspect of it is the retrospective nature of it. It's like them dropping the speed limit on the motorway to 40mph and then massively fining anyone who has ever driven at speeds in excess...
  12. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

I think that looks a lot better than with the silver badges on your car. Much better!
  13. Putting this here because I can't find the ugly Mustang thread

I like the purple one. Especially it's grille with the two ponies about to have a head on collision and a nice, big, chromed "Mustang" underneath them... just so we know what we're looking at.
  14. Grabber Lime 2020 GT Build Thread

Some really impressive DIY skills there. You've done a great job! If I was to attempt that kind of thing, the resultant mess would end looking like the aftermath of an experiment involving chimps and alcohol...
  15. MT-82 Improvements

I have a 17 GT and I didn't much like the shift on mine. The fluid seems to make the biggest difference. I'm in the UK and BG wasn't an option, but I could get Motul Multi DCTF and this made a massive improvement. I have also done the Steeda spring, which I like better than the stock item and...
  16. H pipe and where to have it installed.

Dunno if there is a branch of Formula 1 near you, but I had a catback installed along with a Boomba transmission bracket and it cost me £50. Took them under an hour.
  17. Clutch release technique help!

No harm trying the Steeda spring. It's not expensive and I like it way better than the stock spring, which feels like it came off a dumper truck. If you find you prefer the dumper truck feel, put the stock spring back on. Like I said, it's cheap and the work of minutes.
  18. Acrid smell when car gets hot

That's interesting. Although the smell I've had smells more like rubber than oil. Also never any smoke and no oil under the vehicle, but I'll have a look just to be sure.
  19. Acrid smell when car gets hot

I was interested to read this. Mine has done it twice over the last two years, but not necessarily when wet. Once the smell was quite strong, The other time less so. The car is working fine and the garage couldn't find any issue with it, brakes or otherwise. So a bit of a mystery, but I've...
  20. Supplying own oil for a service

I bought my own oil. It saved me about £40 on the dealer price. I put this in it: Motul Specific 948 B 5W-20. Got it from Opie Oils. Had no issues.
