I too dislike the badges. But I would rather have a badge that two holes in the fender! I would like to replace it with a Matte Black or Silver 302 if I could find one. I asked my dealer NOT to put any decals or dealership badges on the car and they were very happy to oblige. No problem.

$2500 is really over priced. Plenty of other good choices for hoods at half that.

It is a lot of work to cut into your hood, but you can buy my take-off extractors if you want them. Painted magnetic.

Side marker lights in Smoke are a very nice add-on to a Magnetic S550. No doubt. A definite improvement. Paul from Diode Dynamics has a nice video on how to install these, but...... it is a real bitch trying to get the original lights off. The little tab that you have to depress to pop...

It does seem like the carbon fiber louvers from Anderson Composites do stick out from the car a fair amount. And the CF is more expensive.

Bad news for me. As I said $729 for the hood I can manage. But another $1000 or more to paint is a show stopper. Nearly $2000 for a new hood. I don't think so. Too bad.

I think it looks great. Congratulations! You did a great job. I have had the same experience trying to find a local installer. They either won't touch it at all or the price is absurd.

I agree completely. The Recaros are NOT suitable for a long road trip. I cannot imagine sitting in the damn thing on an 8-hour drive from San Diego to Oakland.
