Sorry to get a little off topic, but is there a Track key for an automatic car or is it sticks only? I like the idea of having a factory warranty with a tune.
Thanks!
Some good info in this thread. Thanks!
I like the Whipple because the throttle body is in the front, while the Roush/TVS setup is in the rear. I'm sure that there are reasons for this, but I just think that it should work better from an airflow stand point.
I could be Completely wrong, but...
Thanks for the videos and the comparison, but it's not really fair racing a 2012 that was broken in, compared to a 2015 that you just received.
Once the 2015 gets a some more miles on it and the motor has broken in a bit, it might be a different story.
Just my opinion. :)
It's the Lambda that always confused me. I always set it to show the commanded AFR. It was just easier for me to see it because maybe I'm not smart enough to convert it! :D
I guess if that's what you always use to tune, then it would become second nature to think about Lambda/Stoichiometric...
I like the Roush with the quad tips, but is dependent on pricing, along with an H-pipe.
I think that it'll give the car a different look because most of the other major exhaust builders (Magnaflow, Gibson, Borla, Ford, etc) seem to favor the duals with single tips on each side.
I've heard the...
Currie Ford in Frankfort, Il had one a couple of weeks ago. It was an inventory car and I had the opportunity to drive it on a Friday (but sadly didn't because of other commitments and time restraints), and then Saturday it had a deposit on it and was gone by Monday.
A dyno is a tool for tuning and/or bragging rights for bench racers (or forums in this case).
The real indicator is if he takes it to the track and see what it traps at.
If it's much higher than the other posted trap speeds, then CJ has gotten himself a Freak (that's a Good thing :clap2:)...
I'd like the Brembo brakes and the Torsen diff. Those are some Very Nice pieces on an automatic.
Maybe throw a factory installed small stall speed (2800 rpm with a Very Drivable 1.8-2.2 STR) and trans cooler wouldn't be hard to swallow either....Hint, Hint Ford! :D
That would Definitely make...
Pretty sure if you blow up your motor, a tune (except Ford Track Key possibly) is going to void that warranty. Just some food for thought.
Pretty good numbers though, especially for the torque (which is more important to me than big horse numbers because torque is what gets you moving).
Those are some pretty good numbers though, since the motor is starting at 435 hp. To lose only 50 hp (rounded off) is pretty darn good.
Not too mention that it'll do better once the motor gets some miles on it and loosens up a bit.
Thanks for sharing the video!
