it looks like rubber to me. Need to change that as well.

Once pads reach above threshold temperature, pads start to evaporate. Which leads to early pad wear. If u have firm paddle and car doesn't slow down anymore, that's when the resins starts to evaporate. Are you on the track mustang forum? Quite of few people showing high pad wears too...

I think his is either Brent or Bret. Someone told me he is a Pirelli WC driver. Pedal went long. I think it's because I boil the fluids a week before at CWVR. I'm not saying stock pads are bad. Just the wear on the pads are pretty high. Two track days, and I already need to replace it...
  4. Help me settle an argument.

You must be a pretty good driver. Even for the people who track their GT350s, unless you can push the car to use the additional aero grip, it won't make a difference in lap times. I've tested this theory with my POC buddies on a 997.2 GT3 and a GT3 RS few years ago. Surprisingly, some people...

oh! You're para! lol. Good to see you here.

I'm not a very good driver. And it was only a 2nd track day on my GT350. I'm sure someone good can easily lap 5 to 6 seconds faster. I've had the GT4 for almost 10 months, so I'm much more comfortable with that car. A pro driver did 1:56 in my GT4. Also, GT4 is on a cup 2 tires and GT350 is...
  7. Help! Rattling Noise around 4,500 rpm

it's driving fine. Annoying as hell though. But the sound is getting louder. I'm thinking it's one of the catalytic converter. I'm still surprised that two dealers told me that this is a normal sound. [ame]
  8. Help! Rattling Noise around 4,500 rpm

[ame] This is the sound that car makes around 4500 rpm. It sounds like it's coming from the catalytic converter. What do you think is the problem? Can you believe that two dealers told me that this is normal?

I have to go back and see my telemetry data, but ACS does not need more braking than CWVR and BW. Also, Laguna seca is generally lot more cooler than CWVR and most of the hard braking is done uphill (except obviously turn 3). Not very good lap times. Not to make any excuses, but it was...

3 weeks seems like an eternity. I only have 5 more track days left until it's gets too hot.

There are guys who test the first batch, but the pads won't be available for 2 to 3 weeks. "As far as availability - YES !! Pagid is asking that I take orders now, with the first sets of pads being available in 2-3 weeks. The MSRP pricing for the pads is as follows: GT350 Front RS-29 $675.00...

Thanks. I did take a look at the forum you mentioned. Looks like Pagid and Carbotech are still developing the track pads. There aren't any track pads ready to purchase now. Maybe I missed a thread, but I looked pretty carefully.

I'm putting Motul 660 RPF. I found this fluid to be the best one on old GTR. But I think on hot days with Cup 2s, no matter what fluid you use, you'll need to bleed the brakes after every track day. Also, you'll need good endurance pads. The pad wear is pretty high on this car.

Have you been to these tracks? Only other track in Socal that's more brake intensive is SOW. Even lighter cars like GT4s have brake fades at the same event. Anyway, why is this is even a relevant question? I'm glad you guys have no brake fade. That's fantastic and I'm happy for you. I...
  16. Help! Rattling Noise around 4,500 rpm

Dealer told me that the noise is normal. And told me to go to Galpin ford (which is 1.5 hours away) if I want a second opinion. I'm amazed how incompetent these people are. This is what he says "I'm referring you to a specialist...when you go see a doctor, he can refer you to a neurologist."...

Are you guys replacing your brake lines to steel braided lines? If so, can anyone share where I can purchase one? My first track day was at Chuckwalla Valley Race way 90 degree temperature / 100 degree track temperature. Brakes were pretty good. But towards end of the day, I've notice...
  18. Help! Rattling Noise around 4,500 rpm

^Nothing to do with the shifter. I dropped it off at the dealer during lunch today. They think it might be coming from the heat shield. Hopefully, it's an easy fix. Crossing my fingers. Also, I didn't know Ford doesn't provide rental cars during warranty repair. That's horrible service.
  19. Help! Rattling Noise around 4,500 rpm

Thanks. I don't think it's coming from the engine. I'll try to get a video of it. Car is running fine, no issues. Just a rattling sound around 4,500, but goes away after 6,000 rpm.
