In the C & D review:
"If you fill up using 87 octane, you’ll be down on horsepower—by about one percent according to Ford. So it’s highly unlikely you’ll notice."
You can run regular, unless that 4.35 horsepower is critical to you.
I've been running a 2012 GT in regular competition for...
After some thought, I voted no. I have some experience with much more sophisticated HUDs in military jet fighters, so I got spoiled. In some ways, car HUD is a little better than nothing or looking down to the panel. Trouble is car HUD isn't focused at infinity, like the jets; and probably never...
OP - As mentioned above, it's a complex issue, with di$a$terous results for failure.
If you are not completely aware of the downsides of any "tune"; do the homework FIRST. Then decide whether you are financially able to suffer the consequences.
There is a certain amount of room for error and...
GT versus Boss Coyote engines
In complete agreement with what is posted above.
OP - the answer to your question is no, even the new S550 Coyote with new parts isn't quite the equivalent of the previous Boss.
But the prime thing to remember, IMHO, is the design purpose of the Boss.
The design...
About 87 vs 91 octane in ordinary driving.

New Fangled Diffs
Yup, OE 'tune'. "Fine throttle modulation" not a part of my Mustang's auto-x arsenal, unless the nanny's on. Just assumed it was mostly me that was the problem. Never have been a big fan of the "fly by wire" throttle and steering assist in cars. Spoiled, I guess. Works...
John and Jane "Average"??
Sorry, Norm; while we usually agree with your wise and thoughtful posts, Jane and I must take exception here. I don't know about this "Joe" guy, but Jane and I, while maybe average, do own a closet full of auto-x jackets, and do usually drive hard enough to notice...
Sport mode....
I do think, from experience, that Hoosier A6s work pretty well off the corners in Sport mode on my very stock 2012 Mustang GT in auto-x, Norm; for what it's worth. I've tried it both with the nanny on and with it off, and (as I'm not much more than an average driver) I feel it's...
