Hey Jim how you doing? I booked mine in for the Shockworks for the 23rd of this month. Can’t wait to get it fitted and do a cruise up the Putty Road.
I just added a K&N panel filter in the standard air box as it is cheap and I was also unsure if a CAI is worth it without a tune. Not sure it really does anything but the advertised flow is up over a standard panel filter.
I had my car on the dyno with a bunch of others in June and mine made...
Would like to see photos of the drop as I’m getting mine done in a January. Don’t want to overdo it as I don’t scrape at the moment and want to keep t that way.
We will probably be pulled in soon getting off topic but I think the latest C63 coupe looks odd the way the rear of the cabin narrows down. Almost looks like a tear drop at the rear. I think it was done that way to make it look like it has big haunches but it doesn't work compared to the...
Being one of those old guys, (I'm 55) I think my generation has grown up with the Mustang being iconic. I didn't buy one before for a few reasons.
I wanted to have no debt and was always planning on buying a weekend car when this happened.
I like modern performance cars.
Kids needed to...
No, before the S550 was announced I was looking at a 71 Mach 1 as a long term keeper so mine is still a long term keeper. It's not my daily driver and I won't be parting with it until I am too old to drive it.
HSV are doing the right hand drive conversion and it is close to happening. They have had a couple of yellow ones around at local car gatherings for a while checking interest.
Apparently they are trying to price under $90K to keep it reasonably close to the Mustang. Obviously a conversion...
Looking at this magazine article I find tuning shops quoted power figures frustrating to read. The cars should be put on a dyno to get the power figures. For example the NA V8 power figure differences quoted by the tuners are generally over the top. There is very little performance difference...
I have driven a 135i and you will have some serious fun wth it. Mid range punch and rear wheel driver make it a beast with the traction control off. I wouldn't say the interior is much to write home about though.
I've had a few euro cars including a mk2 Focus RS and I still enjoy the Mustang...
I find the Pirellis fine once they heat up but I usually drive with the tyre pressure monitor showing until it has come up a couple of psi and I know they have heat. It is fun having it slide a bit under power in first and second until the tyres warm up a bit though. I don't bother driving mine...
Probably the easiest way to tell if the air is colder is the difference between outside air and take air when you have been on the move for a bit of time. Mine is around 4 to 5 degrees difference so if you are getting less than that then you may have an improvement.
Do you recall what yours...
They don't take up much space leaning against a wall with a strap holding it in place. I will keep everything I take off the car and my grandkids can sell it to some collector in 50 years time.
Rocket Indutries in Sydney distribute them, my brother in law works there and has been twisting my arm about them. Part no ED1586 on their website.
