You're welcome. We have a good group (plus several we haven't met yet). Our meets and/or cruises are an excellent way to exercise our ponies, show-off a bit and, of course, have some fun. It's also good way to exchange info, observe actual mods (especially exhaust sounds) and support each...
The more we discuss the new (and future) styling, the more I am getting comfortable with the "sports car" look as opposed to the "muscle car" look. After all, in the time of the muscle car beginnings, it was BIG cars (sedans) with even BIGGER engines. Europe and Asia had small cars with even...
Being obsessed with spec sheet data or tenths-of-a-second is dumb for non-racers. In our modern hi-tech world, computer updates are soooo frequent and chip designs are obsolete before manufacture. They would love for you to buy into every "upgrade"... it's planned that way. If you love what...
GM did a good job with their 2016 engine line-up for the Camaro.... better than Ford with the down-played 6cyl and undertuned turbo. However, these cars are ALWAYS modded for competition, so stock numbers are not always in play; however, handling-wise...the suspension set-up, driver and tires...
So true! GM had been enjoying a sales surge due to the "transformer" styling fad (probably why they didn't restyle it much), but now (finally) Mustang S550 sales have again overtaken the Camaros. This speaks to the wide acceptance of the new design.
By the way, also having the auto, I can...
As a photographer I have noticed a rather rare and peculiar phenomenon with the Mustang S550............ pictures cannot due justice to the styling impact. In person (with our "wrap-around" 3D vision) the styling has significantly more impact.... it makes an immediate impression...it invokes an...
Agreed. Ford went too far pushing the 6cyl down as well as deliberately detuning the 2.3T ecoboost to be closer to the 6cy in performance. GM has done better this gen with the Camaro in this engine power/option area.
Agreed... However, the best bang-for the buck has to be the base 6cyl. The beauty of the Mustang is you can option/mod it to great extremes to make it what you want. :ford:
"I'm probably biased, but for the price increase, the premium just wasn't worth it to me".
While I might have agreed with you on some points (voice control sucks, some lights are gimmicky), I disagree about the drive modes. They are quite useful and increase the enjoyment driving the car...
Now now children... let's calm down. Back to the Camaro vs Mustang looks. The Camaro is pretty true to it's roots and it's typical overall styling... that is outward styling taking precedence over functional design (low visibility out of the cabin). The Mustang has been all over the map on...
The Camaro is just what everyone expected..... another Camaro. Lacks the excitement that the S550 stirred-up with it's lower, wider and sportier (euro sports car?) look. Yes, I agree, the Camaro still looks too much like a 2-door sedan.
****STRAIGHT ANSWER ALERT****
"Yes, unlike virtually every other device available we are able to tune ALL of your driving modes. Just like the stock tuning logic is affected by you changing drive modes so is our tuning logic. We have access to far more than your typical tuners...this is a...
I am also thinking of going with the Livernois tune after months of research. One question which I couldn't get a straight answer for: I like usung the driving modes (especially for when my wife drives and/or slippery roads. As I understand it, your tune replaces the stock tune, bur the...
If we are to have a simple meet-up and/or short cruise in DFW...... where is the feedback? Chime in so we can get something arranged. (Other area Mustang S550 owners are FAR more active than we are).
Hooray!!! I'm not the only one to come out and say it......."Ecoboost" is a line of ford engine types (which saves gas) which are intended to replace larger displacement engines and improve the corporate average fuel economy stats. A Mustang is a Mustang period. Calling it an ecoboost is...
Ft. Worth here....
I guess an Oktoberfest cruise to Fredricksburg is not popular (too long?) However a meet-up and a mini cruise (in DFW area?) seems viable.
I can recommend we meet in the middle near the stadiums/six-flags area at one of the many restaurants/pubs/clubs and do a cruise on...
