  1. 22 S550 Tracking Thread

Im very interested to see what happens come fall/winter. My car was built in June. Still has not left the train yard to be delivered. Judging by the comments around here a lot of people are in the same boat. I keep reading that rail workers are likely going on strike soon. So the already 2-3...

So then it seems most likely that mustangs are not coming via United Road. Could mean its a different carrier.
  3. 22 S550 Tracking Thread

My car was built a MONTH before yours. I just got off a chat with Ford Customer Service. It still hasn't moved. It's still in New Boston MI. I also was digging around the United Road platform. As far as I can tell (and its totally possible I using it wrong) Chapman has not has a mustang...

thanks. wow. so performance.ford.com is different then performanceparts.ford.com and different then ford.com that seems silly.

I don't see a way to chat with them. the "Contact Us" at the very bottom just goes to the regular ford customer service page
  6. 22 S550 Tracking Thread

Is there any difference between the regular ford customer service folks and the Ford Performance people? Will the Performance folks give up more details?
  7. 22 S550 Tracking Thread

I am in the North East. About 1hr from Chapman. My car was built June 26 with an ETA of July 20-26. That date came and went. I got on the Ford Customer Service chat and found my car was still sitting in New Boston a month after it was built. Yesterday I jumped on the chat again to see if I...

Mine sat for close to 5 weeks and missed my original delivery date. Heck it didn't even move from the lot before the end of the 1st delivery window. On Sunday (7/31) I had a chat with Ford customer service and they told me the car was shipped via convoy. It was originally set for train. So it...

does anyone know what "received at Ramp 5M, New Boston, MI." means? The Ford Customer service person did not give me more that that. Does it mean the car is loaded on a train and moving? I received my "Shipped" email over a month ago but the car hasn't moved.
  10. Just about ready to throw in the towel.

I could see that when the cars are in production. Im sure the profit margin on the EV cars is much higher. But once the car has been built, no matter what it is, I have to imagine they want it delivered as soon as possible. That's how they get paid. Having the car sit in the parking lot for 5...

Shady business practices sure...but they have the logistics of moving cars around worked out better than anyone.
  12. Just about ready to throw in the towel.

Imagine the mountain of good PR if the company that builds the f-series truck buys a bunch of trailers and started delivering the car direct to the customer! The super bowl commercial almost writes itself! They could charge an expedited delivery fee and make a few bucks. Dealers still get to...
  13. Just about ready to throw in the towel.

Im sure once the car gets to the train yard at the final destination it won't take long to get to the dealer. its only about 45 miles away. Maybe a day or two. But mine isn't even been on the train to start its journey!
  14. Just about ready to throw in the towel.

update: Spoke to Ford customer service rep today. Car still has not moved. Still not loaded on a train. ETA is the week of August 15. Im not really putting any weight into the ETA until the car is actually on a train and moving.
  15. Just about ready to throw in the towel.

That's the plan. Maybe its "my" car. Maybe its a different Mustang. Maybe its not a Mustang at all.
  16. Just about ready to throw in the towel.

East cost. North of Philly. Car was ordered thru one of the big popular dealers on this forum.
  17. Just about ready to throw in the towel.

I like the car. I really do. But its nothing "special". Its a mass produce vehicle. Its not like its some limited production Porsche or something. I can walk away and just buy something else. Im the worst kind of customer. I have zero brand loyalty. In fact I make it a point to try all...
  18. Just about ready to throw in the towel.

It's easier to blame the pandemic than to actually do anything about the problem. If customers are still buying they have no incentive to change. I have a feeling we are going to see dealerships failing in the next few months. Interest rates are going up. The number of buyers is going to shrink...
  19. Just about ready to throw in the towel.

I ordered a stick shift Ecoboost convertible February 17. After multiple delays the Car was built June 27. got the "Shipped" email June 28th with an eta for July 19th-July 26. Over the last week I was trying to contact my dealer to get a status update. All they were giving me was the same ETA...
