Looks awesome. Thanks for the write-up. I haven’t used Cerakote paint product, but I have applied their trim coat restoration kit to several vehicles. Like you said, it performs exactly as advertised. Great product. Just watch their video, follow their instructions.

IMHO, a much better, inexpensive alternative is to grab a piece of aluminum foil and form it in a trough shape. You can always clean it for reuse, or clean and place in recycling. I just pitch mine.

FWIW: Instead of “ripping” the sound tube out of the firewall, you can easily remove the nut that holds its mounting bracket from under the car. Here’s what I used: - 1/4” drive ratchet - 11” of extensions - 10mm deep well socket - 1/4” U-Joint

@DFB5.0 Have you heard of or used these? Think it was on a Hagerty channel a dude that cleaned high end automotive vehicles used these religiously to clean difficult areas like the OP has. Not trying to hijack the thread as I think both products might work. But I wanted DFB5.0’s expert...

That’s way overpriced. Think about the day when you try to explain and resell it. I wouldn’t touch a used car that’s been wrecked, with a pro charger/tune. Good luck.
