This is useful information. I was not aware of the invoicing aspect of this. That means that Ford invoices dealers for cars sometimes weeks in advance of when they can sell them. Very interesting.

FWIW, my car went from UMH to scheduled to the week of with a VIN in about 1 week. YMMV, but I think once you heat clean these next two steps should happen pretty fast. I am finding it harder now that I have a specific (at least to the week) date than before there was anything definite.
