  1. Mustang GT4 or FP350S bodywork compatibility

How do you know? :bandit: Just the bodywork/aero or were you using some of the parts that look tough to fit like brake ducts and abs which aren’t expected to be easy on a passenger vehicle?
  2. Anyone else install decklid letters?

I consider it more of a Ford Performance vehicle and don’t try to slip anymore Shelby branding on it. Seems Ford thought so too when they changed the door sills to Ford Performance in 2017 from Shelby in 2016. But, hey, they’re just decals. Go nuts.
  3. OVER THE TOP STRIPE OR NO STRIPE

If you were looking for some magic rule, like no stripes between Labor Day and Memorial Day, there isn’t one. It’s just an opinion, and on a Mustang with fairly basic paint choices, you can’t go too far wrong. Ford already picked the combos that don’t work and excluded them if the pinstripe...
  4. OVER THE TOP STRIPE OR NO STRIPE

Don't do what I did. Start with Oxford white with a blue stripe, revel in it's authenticity and beauty. Then go to your first track event and see four GT350 with stripes. Take the stripe off. Then go to your next track event and find that the rest of the cars no longer have stripes. Put the...
  5. Custom GT350 knob from Billetworkz

That’s really well done. You ordered it without a shift pattern and engraved it yourself afterwards? Nice work on the shift pattern.
  6. Lets see your favorite photo!

The track day photographer at MSR Cresson was panned for being a bit extreme in his photos, but I got this gem.
  7. New Sponsor Antigravity Batteries- Question about Battery Sizing...

I’m not optimistic on the extra 5/8” clearance around and above the terminals. I don’t have photos, but could, and when I placed a 5/8” shim on top of the Gt350 stock battery terminals the rubber surrounds for the cover with did not sit flat. There is a bit of wiggle room with some shimming...
  8. Streetable Roll Bar Recommendations - Watson v Cooltech v CMS v ???

Yes. But for every machinist that says a Mustang is out of tolerance, I'll find you a tech that says it should have slotted the holes and been designed better. I had mine installed by Winding Road Racing in Austin, and they had exactly that complaint.
  9. Streetable Roll Bar Recommendations - Watson v Cooltech v CMS v ???

CMS rollbar in shadow black. Using split collars instead of a loop. It wasn’t the best installation ever, but no complaints on the streetability. With Sparco ergo 2 seats, it’s about 4-6” between bar and seat and a slight upward angle. I can’t say the seats dont impair rear vision, but the...
  10. Grand Tour

Let’s credit the British on this one. If a drunk, surly man without dinner never hit his producer, Amazon would not have landed the Grand Tour, and we would not have Season 3 Episode 1 filmed in Detroit.
  11. Anyone go from Recaro's to stock seats?

Coming from a GT350 here, but yes the wiring harness is different. It depends on options. There would be two connectors, one for seating, airbags, seatbelts and another connector for power and climate controls in the power seating. In my case I went from 2 to 1 connectors putting in manual...
  12. So sad we can't trust dealers with our cars, this happened to me..

You’re a levelheaded guy. Rational, well edited, clear and no histrionics. It’s easy to get upset on the internet, and I hope when you take your case directly to the services manager you get a good resolution and the dealer makes changes for the better. Not the worst treatment ever, but if...
  13. 3 Shelby GT350s Doing Burnouts/Drifting to welcome 2019

It's on a closed course, what could possibly go wrong?
  14. GT350 Track Attack Ford Performance Vinyl Sticker/Banner for windshield.

Falcon Graphics. Afraid to say I haven’t dealt with Clark Hill personally, but a few folks here have and found them helpful. They do the graphics for the Ford Performance school, and contact info isn’t hard to find on Facebook and the inter web. Here’s an old thread with contact info...
  15. Pilot Sport 4s in 305/35/19???

I also like the PSS and MP4S. I can show up at track day after a 100 mile drive in the rain, in the (Texas) cold, and from lap one they work. They lose traction predictably, stay consistent all day, and are a great general tire. My opinion anyway. But there just aren’t many 35 profile tire...
  16. Pilot Sport 4s in 305/35/19???

I’m a fan of the 305/30/19 fitment. I know you wanted the 35 series, but it wasn’t too tough to use Forscan to set a new tire size and recalibrate the speedo for the 30 series. At that point you’re just picking more sidewalk or less, and I was ok with the 30 profile (R like) to get an upgrade...
  17. R Calipers Installed

Strangely it hasn’t been said yet, but you can also get the Caliperfexion studs installed, your dealer will never think of them. The R calipers are a glossy red coat worth about 3 hp, but the studs are a huge time savings when you start swapping the pads. I’m a little less paranoid than most...
  18. Best windshield wiper blades?

It’s just a Mustang. Track days and racing in the rain are fun and challenging, and I spend more time in the rain on the course and in the paddock than I have to as a not-daily driver. Wipers are something you need, and I haven’t been disappointed with Motorcraft, unlike the oil.
  19. FP Rear Seat Delete (sheet metal holes)

Wouldn’t you have a better seal with the bolts back in and a bit of sealant on the threads? Or even nylon bolts or plastic plugs if you want to save weight? To me, duct tape belongs in other peoples cars.
  20. How far should we upgrade?

Yes, in the yellow run group. As an Austinite Edge always seems to get me decent runtime. I was in the white with blue stripes, but I took the stripes off again. There were five think? Two red, yours with the wing, and two white/blue. My first time at COTA.
