This is so true. I've lost count on the number of times I've seen a Commodore in the rear view Mirror weaving through traffic, and tearing up beside me, before revving their car and taking off. It's hilarious :D

I've seen lots of unroadworthy cars too. I know of a work colleague who declared that his BMW had wheel spacers to his insurer, and he was told to remove them or his policy would be null and void.

Ask the RTA - the car will be unroadworthy. Take the punt, but don't complain if it goes pear shaped. If you want a squared setup you'll need to source wheels to suit.

Wheel spacers are illegal in Australia, good luck if have an incident and your Insurance company finds out.
