Definitely going to need to see these colors side by side in one picture to judge. The metallic hues makes it hard to really see any difference because any slight variation in lightning conditions is going to change how they both look.
The plot thickens. I thought that pic was for sure lightning blue. If it can color shift that much that's awesome.
The picture up top where it's definitely Velocity looks good though. Excited to see more.
Congrats, glad you found what you wanted. Lightning Blue is a fantastic color that will continue to grow on you with time. However, I've found trying to capture its true brilliance on a camera is very tough to do!
Honestly aside from the bowtie positioning i think it looks mean. This will grow on me much faster than the 18 Mustang refresh, which I still haven't warmed up to outside of Orange Fury and Crimson (which imo are the best looking colors on the refresh)
Agreed there. When I was shopping around for my 2017 I wanted Lightning blue with satin or polished rims...I never really liked black rims. Shopped around, saw there was a Lightning Blue with the black out package 5 miles from me, but elected to drive 200 miles away to check out a different...
I went with “Lightning” due to the Lightning Blue color. Keeps with my trend of naming cars after Disney characters. My beater Mercury is Carl Fredricksen, named after the old man in Up.
Back when I've gotten hit I usually called the other person's insurance to line up a rental car before proceeding. I usually didn't have a problem doing so EXCEPT the one time I was reared ended by someone who's insurance company could save you 15% or more. They were a NIGHTMARE to deal with and...
Agreed. My hesitation on all this stuff has nothing to do with Big Brother or Nanny State: it has to do with the cost to fix such things when they break.
I drive a 2011 Mercury Milan as my beater. The car has blind spot and a rear backup camera. I was rear ended in an accident, and a couple...
This further highlights that colors I like don't stick around long:
Legend Lime - only on 2005 and 2006 model years
Windveil Blue - 2005 - 2008
Grabber Blue - in and out
Lightning Blue - 2017 - 2018?
Crimson Red - 2018?
Legend Lime and Windveil were love/hates for just about everyone. I drove...
A couple pages back I asked for pictures of the GT350 Track Pack spoiler on Lightning Blue. Got some good help so here’s some pictures of it on my car installed. This is the OEM one that’s painted black...got a good deal on it thanks to eBays 20% off sale a couple weeks back.
I own a 2017 in lightning blue. The color looks great in all lighting: sunny day, cloudy day, nighttime, etc. The color seems to change hues depending on the lighting and looks good in all lighting.
That being said, when I was looking at pictures of the 2018 mustangs as they were coming out...
Once you get rid of the wheel gap you’re gonna wonder how you ever looked at your car without feeling nauseous, lol. I can’t look at old pictures of my car anymore...which sucks because I have some good pics in good locations but my eyes go straight to the gap.
Looks great!!! Thanks for uploading pics. My car has the black accent package with the smaller black spoiler. I think this spoiler looks fantastic.
Jmart, based on what I’m reading because I have the stock spoiler already no driller should be required for the Gt350 spoiler. Appreciate the...
