My radar detector that is hooked up to the dome lights and shows voltage.
Was wondering if the voltage reported by the radar detector is accurate enough to be a reliable “gauge”?
Asking cause, the cluster reports a slightly different voltage.
If I can use the radars voltage then I can use...
I had the stock speakers for 7 years till the front speakers gave out.
I am not a super audiophile, so I went to BestBuy and replaced all speakers with Kicker, amp and low profile kicker subwoofer.
It does sound much better than stock.
I had caliper covers and I felt it looked goofy.
When thinking about what I was trying to do, I realized that I was trying to show something that is just not real.
I ended up simply painting the calipers red, which was better, but then I didn’t like how it looked so I painted it black and I...
That’s awesome to know. Thanks for sharing.
Never got around to spending time understanding the impact with the oil pressure.
I guess I am going back to 5w30
5w20
I tried 5w30 once and noticed the oil pressure was about 10 psi higher during cold starts and about 5 when driving.
So until I figure out what’s better, I decided to go back to 5w20
Interesting.
To reiterate, the problems we have are very similar, here is my post describing the problem. For me, because the roads I drive on are good, I had no problems, it is just when I drive in my community where there are bumps and steep dives I had bad clunking.
It worth to say that...
Had this problem and clunking came from rear passenger side and not sure what was the issue.
I then replaced all rear suspension parts that had bushings. End links, upper and lower control arm, vertical links and torqued to spec and clunk is gone.
In my limited experience, it looked like only...
I had just replaced my base door, shift boot and center console panels with the OEM premium blue stiched ones and they look fabulous.
New OEM leather seat shells go for about $500 and they look sweet as well.
The knobs from 5Spurs while pricey, they do look nice.
PP gauges give a nice touch...
Have you thought about installing it yourself?
On a lift it is really not that hard. The installation video is pretty good.
I had done mine on a diy lift and ironically it was one of the easiest installs I have done
My V6 did not have any traditional PP components on it and it drove well.
Then I installed the front braces, cowl extension and k brace and significantly improved handling.
Next I am planning to install the PP front control arms and hoping to see improvement.
I also found out recently that...
I don’t think anything is wrong, but since I am not used to the car being in gear, when I start the car and simply let go of the clutch like it is in neutral, all hell breaks loose.
All in all, until I am confident I will remember the car is in gear before I start the car, I don’t think it is a...
The vast majority of the time, I park on flat roads so I always use just the e brake.
When I tried to park in gear as well, I tended to start the car in gear, so I stopped putting in gear and just used ebrake.
I heard that the bracket to the firewall is what makes the most difference in handling.
I don’t know if that is the case cause I installed everything in one shot.
The firewall bracket was not hard tbh. I just lifted the cover under the windshield wiper just enough to fit in a box wrench to...
How can we convince Ford to provide an update to support CarPlay Ultra?
I think with the digital cluster and Sync 3, the S550 looks like it has the hardware
I am interested on how you will take care of this.
I have been having the same problem for years, where the compressor engages and disengages every 10 seconds.
I flushed, recharged confirmed pressure but still the same
Great interior.
I am super OCD, detailing at least once a week.
What do you think about the digital cluster, OEM premium red stitched door panels and center console panels?
