I did the eco-boost guage as I wanted to retain the OEM appearance, plus the boost guage is mostly for passenger entertainment since when it's showing boost I'm too busy driving the beast to pay attention to it....OBTW it isn't exactly plug and play as you have to enable it in the PCM with FORScan.
Nick, sounds like you are ready for FI...I have no access to a dyno locally so hp is only a "guesstimate" but I'd put it around 700-750 crank minus 10 percent at the wheels, still running origional clutch at 37K miles and have just over 200 miles on this setup so we are still in "break-in"...
Well, I did "scenario 2" kinda...ESS G3X, G4 Intercooler, 125mm pully and a Wingard 93 octane tune. The car is still a "driver's car" and very manageable which is what I was aiming for with this mod...OBTW I had already reworked the suspension/chassis in anticipation of going FI when the...
I also wanted a GT350, but settled for a Bullitt....just couldn't anty up the $ at the time, well I decided to build a "poor boy's" GT350 by stuffing most of the Steeda catalog under it and last week it grew an ESS G3X with a G4 Intercooler setup and a Wingard tune so we are well into GT350 $...
No, it isn't installed yet but the car is currently in the process of getting an ESS G3X and the plan is to do the oil cooler after we finalize the supercharger job prior to putting the front clip back on the car...however my mechanic has some concerns about fitment since the supercharger...
About 12 years ago my wife and I were returning home from a trip to South FL on us70 when we came upon a group of cars poking along at the posted speed limit of 60mph, for those of you not familiar with that road, it is a wide flat strait 2 lane that crosses FL east west, I had been on cruise at...
What a conundrum, but as a Bullitt owner I have an obviously biased opinion...my Bullitt was a true "impulse buy" and I had to give up a C5 Z06 to make room in the garage for it...and having had a dark green '70 M1 back in the day the decision was easy, now having put most of the Steeda catalog...
Went through this sort of stuff with my then new '04 Aviator, turns out they got a bad batch of heads...ended up as an "as required" TSB for a specific block of units, and lucky me had one...did enjoy driving the Cadillac loaner for a week or so....
Joe603, sounds like what I'm set up to do (have done) next week, G3X, G4 Intercooler, 125mm pully, GT500 injectors and Wengerd 93 octane Tune...oh, and Ford Racing "cold" plugs, from the research I've done on this forum it sounds like piece of cake with no bad downsides...other than having to...
I purchased an OEM oil cooler "kit" here on the forum some time back and now that I am going FI I am planning to install it at the same time..
.Has anyone out there done this and what surprises/issues am I expecting, if any, back fitting this Mach 1 part to my Bullitt...Thanks
