Fantastic Zack. Fantastic sound. The only (tiny) thing that i don't like is the styling of the tips.
Please buy shorties and throw them on to see how it sounds :)
I've got dyno numbers for my mods in another thread  .
As far as last gen parts go, you could modify them to fit. As previously stated, the IRS changes the pipping for catbacks/ axle backs. Roush and Flowmaster have a system for our cars and Airaid has a CAI. Suspension wise, you...
it's been out for a while. Airaid is known to make pretty good quality systems, which is why i went for it. Gives the engine a great sound. Performance wise, it's quite negligible when it runs on a stock tune. It should really come to life with an aftermarket one though
Hahah yes i could. Her parents live in Indi and her brother has been tunning with Lonnie for a long time. RAM SRT 10 and an LS7 swapped GTO (if im not mistaken).
Guys, This is it.
In mid May, me and the gal will take a roadrip with the Mustang from Miami to Indianapolis.
The Purpose?
Dyno tunning!
I'm going to give my baby to Lonnie Doll, owner of Blue Oval Chips, one of the most renowned Mustang tunner around the country.
It's going to...
Aside from the fact that this is the V6 section, there is a guy that has a thread going on the V8 section about this. He managed to do his setup for 250$ by putting a generic x-pipe and a muffle delete. Sounds loud and mean as hell.
How about buying a system specifically made for our cars? All of you guys seem to have some type of problem with generic mufflers.... As previously stated, drone with the roush is virtually non existent.
Mods do only so much on a stock tune. I have been modding my car because I would have tuned it at some point anyways. You can't really trust manufacturers when they tell you that you'll gain 15 whp with a CAI... Torque seems to be relatively higher than stock though
As previously speculated, dynos tend to not be an accurate representation of power (mostly)
New dyno, 263whp and 256 max trQ. Pulls done in third gear because limiter is hit in 4th. As you can see from AFR readings, our stock tune tells the engine to inject more fuel at higher rpms to try...
Since we have an engine in a V configuration, you have te left and right bank (three cylinders per bank) the general consensus is that, for optimal combustion and better power, the two banks need to meet at some point (x or h pipe). Adding an x- pipe after the resonator is doable, but I think...
Further adding to the great explanation that zack gave you, an x pipe will "pull" exhaust gasses faster at higher rpms, which also makes more power. A big turnoff for most people is that it does sound raspy. To my knowledge, it hasn't been proven that the two engines banks ever meet throughout...
well, I'm going to another Dyno on Monday because I need to have AFR readings for a treat I might be working on ;) . So we'll see if the numbers change.
