You can't get financing without a VIN, and finance terms can change overnight. So no, it's perfectly normal to not have your financing when you ordered the car.
The most I would do on an order as far as financing is concerned is pull a customer's credit to make sure they can buy. Otherwise...
As a former salesman, I'd suggest just chilling out and relaxing until the car arrives.
If you're that concerned with financing, get your own financing lined up now so you have some ammo when you pick your car up. That way the dealer can't bump your rate for more profit.
As far as X-Plan...
I initially ordered magnetic w/black, but then saw the redline pics and had to change. And my wife was giving me grief about magnetic, so I went with silver.
She's gonna be shocked. She still thinks my car is magnetic/black.
Mine is getting tinted before I take delivery. I hate not having tint. I really hate the way a car looks that doesn't have tint.
And no, it's not ostentatious.
I occasionally have to tote around a case that's similar in dimension to that big Pelican case and it's a hassle to get it in and out of my trunk on my '11. I'm not sure I could put that one in the trunk. It looks wider, but not as tall.
That may very well be a "go to the dealer" type thing...
