That may just be the drivetrain "slop". Been an issue since at least 15' which is what mine is. You kinda get used to it. I will say now that I'm at around 50k miles, I don't really notice anymore. Not sure if it's gone away or I'm just so used to it. Lol. I'll have to pay more attention.
Good...
Not sure who, or what, you're talking about....
Are you referring to the fact that I accidentally loosened one of my front caliper bolts and few drops of brake fluid leaked out? I appreciate the concern but let's not be drama queens about it, please. I assure you that I spent a ton of time...
Still kinda curious about this. As I just stated, I finally got mine all finished up. My rear rotors from Powerstop were definitely "2 plane" vented rotors. I believe the original rears are as well (I still have them laying in the garage, will have to check). I was under the impression that all...
Brakes are done! Got the correct replacement rotors on Thursday. Took Friday off of work and worked on the car all day. I ended up basically taking the rears completely apart so I could put in the correct brake pad clips and replace all of the bolts with new (as discussed above). Everything...
Well, the good news is it looks like a resolution is finally in the works and at the moment, it looks like it may be that I get my entire braking setup for free. PowerStop is going to get me the correct rotors by Thursday.
Yes, it seems like the bolts can be reused but after breaking one (and...
The fronts ARE still the factory. I never took them apart since luckily I noticed that the new rotors were 6 lug right away. The rears currently have the new Powerstop slotted/drilled rotors and pads but they sent me the wrong clips so I'm using the old rusty ones for now. I actually had to...
I can't remember where I read that but when I was looking up the bolt part numbers on Ford parts websites, they say "one time use" or "do not reuse". Something along those lines. I did notice that the originals appeared to have blue Locktite on them so maybe that's the reason? I'm definitely...
I'm still waiting for this to get resolved. I'm really get annoyed at this point. It's been over a week since I reported to them that they sent me the wrong rotors for the front. I got the original order quicker than they can seem to send me the replacement rotors. Meanwhile, my car is...
So I don't have any great pictures of the rears other than the pic I took to send to PowerStop to show that the stupid brackets they sent me weren't wide enough to clear the rear rotors. Now you've got me wondering if maybe there are 2 different rear brake setups and maybe this skinny clips are...
Ummm..I believe it's supposed to be a vented "two plane" design. At least that's how I recall mine being that I just installed last Saturday. Unfortunately, because of all of the mistakes from PowerStop that are yet unresolved, I still don't have the correct brackets for the rear, or the correct...
Interesting. I also ordered Powerstop rotor and pads for my 15' GT (non-PP). Unfortunately, they sent me the wrong front rotors as they had 6 stud holes instead of 5 so obviously those didn't go on. Over the weekend, I did manage to do the rears though. Unfortunately, they F'd up again and...
Looks great. If I were to offer one bit of criticism it would be to get those chrome badges out of there! Would look much better with black badges! I couldn't believe how much better my Triple Yellow 15' looked when I switched to black badges, especially the front grill.
What's funny is that...
You said you have a muffler delete? Check your bolts and clamps and make sure nothing is loose. Way back, I had a weird issue with some kind of sound that was similar. It seemed to be coming from the exhaust, right around the flex connections. To be honest, I don't really rememeber what happened...
I also have the enhanced security package. It does NOT lock the gas cap door.
(It also does not lock the glove box, although anyone can lock theirs with a key. It only locked the center console)
I have to assume he meant the door locks, which it does not.
I can assure there is no locking mechanism in the fueling neck itself. There is some sort of funky design which requires a special funnel (located in the trunk) to fill from a gas can but that's about it. If you're worried about...
Nope
At least not the 15-17 models. Not sure if they changed it for 18' but I'm guessing they didn't if the OP is asking for one. I thought about getting one back when I bought my 15' but it's normally sitting in my garage so not too concerned.
What drive mode were you in? I typically drive in Sport+ or Track when it's warm, dry and sunny out but if it's wet out, it's always in Normal (if it's pouring, it'll be in Rain/Snow).
I'm asking because I can't fathom the car spinning out on you like that if you were in Normal mode, so just...
