Yes, that is correct. But you must be at a complete stop before shifting up to 2nd, otherwise it will automatically shift back down to 1st. It is easy to practice this on the street (you don’t need to wait until you’re at the track).

How are 7th, 9th and 10th all the same gear? :confused: Something must have been lost in translation. 40 mph was a steady-state condition, i.e. cruising. Accelerating is a different issue. Rain/snow shifts through all 10 gears, but at a very low rpm. D may skip gears depending on how quickly...

Are you going downhill?? I typically don’t see 10th until north of 55 mph terminal speed. The only time the A10 is “boring as hell” is if you are driving that way.
