My point was just how odd it is that the dealers aren't aware like you and me are. When you can go on eBay and find 30+ cars at $10K over BIN you'd think they would at least adjust to current market asking price.
Shipping costs ~ $1K and for the typical GT350 buyer I'm pretty sure they will...
Most dealers in CA have at least $20K ADMs - but the cars have also been sitting for months and months and more 2016s keep coming. Which is great, cause once the 2017s start to land as well they are gonna realize they were being unrealistic.
As has been said before by others, asking prices...
Thanks for sharing.
As of this morning Jeff said 3 non-R allocations are still available. They are asking $10K ADM which I personally was not interested in.

Agreed on this specific car and certainly yours. CO will be quite collectible with such a limited production run.
But, from everything that was said the dealer's policy had been in place previously so didn't sound like it was formulated because of anything GT350 specific.
Keep in mind this starts as a $25K rental car with a really expensive powertrain and suspension. All of that bespoke development cost has to be spread across a relatively small production of cars. Ford certainly could have included a higher quality audio option but it would just add to the price...
Everyone is guessing - we can't all be right.
My philosophy is that If I pay an ADM now that is one less car in the supply chain and one more dealer that can say they are taking orders over MSRP. I'm just trying not to personally add fuel to the ADM fire.
I have been out of the car business for 8 years, but my 1st career was in dealerships for almost a decade and I can understand the reasoning. When you stare at some oddly optioned car for 6 months because a customer backs out of an order you can't do much about it while you have to keep paying...
To be fair, an R can be a little bit like buying a house. If you bought a house in 2006 at the market peak the values a few years later were awful in comparison. But 10 years later, at least in my market, values are higher than they were then. Paper losses vs. actual losses are very different...
I live in Santa Barbara, CA but don't really care where I have to order from. At worst I can ship it and road tripping a GT350 from elsewhere could be a fun adventure anyway.
If by some miracle a relatively local dealer is ready to make a deal I would even pay a small ADM ($1K) to avoid...
Well, I'm sure Ford wants more money but they also don't want a Z/28 situation on their hands where they can' really move the cars after the initial enthusiasm dies down.
But, they could just produce a few more cars so that the supply is closer to demand which would eliminate ADM. Could...
Kudos to Ford for tailoring the packages closer to what I think most of us want with no price increase.
A 2017 electronics pack car with stripes is $59,970 vs $56,970 for a 2016 track pack with stripes. Now I can get Recaros, nav, and a not quite as shitty stereo just like I wanted.
Don't get agitated folks, I just want to buy a GT350 like all of you. But, something to ponder...
If a dealer were to post an eBay auction starting at MSRP with no reserve...is the dealer blamed if it sold over MSRP?
Technically they would be willing to sell at MSRP being a no-reserve auction...
