Fair enough. I know Multimatic gets a lot of credit, but say nothing about Ford scream ignorance. A lot of the tech come from the racing program. I bet the same for GM.
This is a great time to be alive if your into cars. Kudos to GM and Ford. I'm waiting for official numbers. I do believe they are cooking something to release, as why would they be going thru all this effort unless it's tied to something. The next step will be what is GM response
I think it a little bit deeper then this. You have to discount the cost of the driveline of the DH. There is some R&D built into this but it minimal as most of this was done for the GT500. like some have mentioned Ford has realized there is a cost buyers are willing to pay and they want that...
Yes this is me 100%. Ford got lazy. The car is amazing performance wise(The carbon ceramics are intriguing), but nothing new to get me excited. I'm not even considering a change. Now AWD, Godzilla or something improved and fresh. Looks are subjective but I see too much ZL1.
Totally agree The Shelby badge doesn't make the vehicle(If that was true the Daytona Z would a awesome car) it compliments it. I'm a car first and then type of person
You say that, but buying a Shelby has the Prestige and linage. The Dark horse has none of that. They sold every 20-22 Shelby's but the DH are sitting on lots. It matters more then you think.
Maybe I'm vain but if you had the option to buy the same car named DHSC or SHELBY which one would you...
Your forgetting their business model. The CSM is the holy grail and what you are paying for. They price the package to get the mark ups and in exchange you get a CSM. Short of some unique body panels everything else is other company products with Shelby printed on them, and then marked up...
SA has to keep the doors open. I understand the concept, but when you sell heritage/linage etc. and then do stuff like this is seems disingenuous. Just like making a Super Snake when it was never born a snake
