I have a post on here somewhere. I did my hubs very early on my 2017. 2 tracks days and an autocross and I had a rear and front hub with play. In early 2017 my moog replacements were of noticeably better quality than the ford pieces. It is ashame they went cheap. I have put 4 more track days on...
Have not scheduled one yet, but I like to go to the Porsche club's spring event at Putnam Park in Indiana. I think it is in April. I need to get the car to the paint shop.
Well 2018 I had a small off track incident. It screwed up a fender, the hood, and the front fascia. Time has gotten away from me but I am slowly piecing it together. I added a cowl hood for some more cooling room. Put the European front fascia on because it has a tow hook cut out factory. Added...
Well it has been a while but I finally got back to work on my Steeda equipped K-member. I have switched to MMD Mustang GT350 chin spoiler and standard belly pan instead of my performance pack belly pan. I riveted a standard chin spoiler to the MMD so the belly pan would fasten to the front...
I have done Autobahn long course 3 times. Only have had two afternoon sessions with the car dialing the power way back. It was still responsive and fun to drive around the track, just did not have the awesome corner digs and straight away speeds. The only heat induced failure I have had, was a tire.
My car is the one listed in the post above. I was able to keep the strut tower brace and have no issues.
I do not have the 5.2L of course but my car has more track than highway miles. I am running Evans Waterless coolant in my engine with PP radiator and 175 thermostat.
I ran water and water...
My car on the track running triple digit speeds for 20 to 30 minutes can consume a tank of gas in two sessions. That is approximately a 3 mile course with lots of corners that slow me down. You would HAVE TO increase cooling and fuel capacity. No way around it, otherwise you just an uninformed...
I still have my old Ford hubs, they are not identical to the Moog hubs I put on. Sounds like Moog has moved away from what I also put on. The bearing seals on my Ford hub and Moog hubs are different colors
The short answer is no, but I am having great luck using P-clips like you would use to mount a wire Harness. I just re-used my hardware clips on them. Looks perfectly stock and is actually more sturdy. I will get pictures soon.
Stuff can and will go wrong. Just be extra cautious even if people make fun of you. My car had 700 miles on it when I chucked a halfshaft out of it at the dragstrip. I backed out asap, because safety was my primary concern and my car barely kicked out and stopped.
I would get some quotes. May not be bad for the dragstrip. It can be moderately priced for HDPEs. The insurance only covers you and your car, no Liability. So if you own your car and can afford the loss, ehh it is your choice. If you are still paying there may be complcations if you default on a...
Well I will re-scale my car when I am done. I have don all the modifications you have mentioned. I will post ny scale numbers from last time when I am on my phone.
