Got the upper grill in last night, now for the lower grill with brake ducts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Sock's Project 6G

Our friends at BigWorm Graphics sent us one of their vinyl light kits. If you have ever checked the price on a new headlight, you know the headlight protectors, are a must for track days and autoX events. Let the testing begin! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Sock's Project 6G

The outside pockets on the lower grill are prime real estate for brake cooling ducts. So after I finish the upper, we will be moving on to the lower, including brake ducts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Sock's Project 6G

That is the plan. I just have to get the prototype looking the way I want before we make a production version. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Sock's Project 6G

Finally got the hex for the center opening made! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Sock's Project 6G

Yes. I am using the stock grill for the prototype. There is a fairly obvious cut line on the back of the grill, but it requires a steady hand!
  7. Project Black | Vossen

I might need to get my street setup for Project 6G from Brian! Just ordered a set of CV4s for a customers New Range Rover! [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This first set are Forgestar CF5s. Once I have everything working I will offer them in a kit. I will probably have my guys at Modulare Wheels make a 19" street set one the comp setup is done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They were set at 36psi for the test sessions. Didn't play with it much because we will not have them on much longer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. S550 chassis is for real!

I am working on a kit that will attach to the front bumper "rebar" and come out of the lower grill. Trying to make it work without drilling a hole in the front bumper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And while I am there, might as well start on my Hi-flow grill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

On the hunt for some weight to remove! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Sock's Project 6G

I do not ride "right seat", luckily our buddy Mark wanted to ride to compare to his fully prepped S197. Terry and I have raced together quite a bit, so I was not worried. I would like to test it with just tires as well, but I am concerned the extra traction would make the, less then optimal...
  16. Dusold Designs: Project 6G track vid

We were out last weekend testing Project 6G in stock form, to get some baseline data before we install our MCS Coilovers and Vorshlag camber plates. After I got 5 track sessions in Terry Fair went out with the Go Pro and got some track video. Here it is...
  17. Sock's Project 6G

Terry doesn't drive it any harder then I do, and I had already done 3 race sessions and two teaching sessions. Plus he knows the "if you break it, you buy it" rule! :) And thanks for putting up the link, I got bogged down at the shop and forgot.

Honestly, I do not know. Believe it or not we see very few Camaros at our track days and HPDE events. We have built a bunch of 650-1000rwhp 5th gens, but most of them run at the 1/4 mile or Texas Mile events. Their biggest problem at North Texas tracks would be the weight, power and handling are...
  19. Sock's Project 6G

We are running 615Ks. Luckily I have a set of Rivals we can test also. Our 1967 Camaro, that won CAM at SCCA Nationals, runs the same Falken tire. The biggest difference we see between the two is based on ambient Temp. The Rivals like it when its hot out, Falkens heat up quicker and do better...
  20. Sock's Project 6G

We know the 325's are going to require body mods, but after I get this first package together, I will be chomping at the bit to cut it up.
