I got 27.2 on a trip to Little Rock and back last year. That included some city driving and blasting down Pig Trail on the way down and back. In 10th gear you can get some pretty good gas mileage, even with the 3.55.

Just add a couple of Vibrant resonators and you can keep most of the tone you like while taming it down. They aren't that expensive.
