Nothing in the paperwork other than the transmission work and the body panel gaps they fixed... I never signed anything asking them to change the oil either..
That's the shitty thing, I never asked them to change my oil... it was only to go in for transmission issues. I have the paperwork to back that up too.
I saw an oil change sticker on my window when I picked it up, didn't think anything of it either... FML
The other thing is they didn't even...
You know, I didn't even think of that... would lower than 8 quarts show not full? I assume if there was absolutely no oil in there that engine would have seized by now? hopefully something internal is damaged and I get a brand new engine, this would give me a transmission/engine replacement...
Hey all,
The guy with the brand new transmission here, shifts great no noise.
See photo below, confused as to what this is? This is my oil dipstick showing absolutely no oil even though the dealership changed the oil when they put in the transmission. I did not get a low oil level light...
Definitely get it checked out if its a noise that wasn't there previously. Just to be cautious, I do know these transmissions make noise (definitely not a whining sound though :D) so that may be something normal, but if its a new noise then get it checked out. If you're under warranty, no loss...
Niiice, yes and I got a brand new transmission as well. Runs so much nicer now, no whining! Kudos on getting your car back and it all fixed under warranty.
Update*** Got her back, no sound issues at all and I am loving it. Took her around the lake a few times and nothing to note other than she sounds great!
Transmission just arrived this afternoon per the tech who is putting it in. They are going to start/finish the install tomorrow and should be ready to take home. ***Fingers Crossed***
Kind of but the vehicle is not ready yet. Transmission never arrived so the parts department is still looking for it.. But the AGM assured me they are comping me for 4 months now of car payments/insurance...
Hopefully it will arrive soon, they told me it arrived Wednesday then text me it...
You should be able to take it to a Ford dealer and have them check it out, if it's throwing any codes they should be able to read them.
What I noticed is you'll start seeing phantoms things like that and it could just be a sign of a battery waiting to fail (nearing the end of its life)...
Update***:New transmission will be here Saturday, I can hopefully pick up the car Monday. That's a fairly quick turnaround, waaay faster than the 2 months it was in there previously for the same issue (replaced all bearings).
Same thought I had, they even admitted they don't have a transmission tech there now as he quit last week... The guy who rode along with me and said "that's a normal noise" is now working on it...
I am kind of hoping he completely destroys it and they have no choice to but to eat the cost of...
Lol yeah, the couple day's I've had with the car I fell in love with it though. I will be happy once its all done, once the warranty runs out it's balls to the wall mods.
Update: Replaced TOB and issue still remains, they are now in the works of replacing the entire transmission. Listening with a stethoscope the noise comes from deep within the transmission and they are working on getting a new one. So not bad news, just sucks it's been in the shop for this...
Yeah, that seems like its the noise being made when I let off the clutch (makes some odd noise, but when I depress the clutch it goes away). So that seems like its that noise, the whining doesn't make sense.
Dealer got back to me, bad throw-out bearing... However, I am suspect of that since the tech notes in the previous repair documents I posted said "bad throwout bearing, replaced" but the part did not show up in the itemized parts list.
So either the tech who replaced it didn't put that in the...
