  1. Kind of disappointed with the brake pad wear

Jim Run Carbotech XP24s up front, XP12 rear. You won't be disappointed. These cars generate big heat both front and rear. I have also run R18 GLocs up front with pretty good results. Steve
  2. Anyone get nervous running to redline?

What redline? Stock 6900? I have my car tuned with GT350 mani and longtubes and run 7700 shift points, 7800 redline. No worries, smooth as silk. Just don't bounce the car off the rev limiter, which can cause oil pump gear failure under high load.
  3. S550 Lap Times (Road Course)

Summit Point WV Main track. 1:21.97 2016 Mustang GT PP. Ford Performance Track Suspension pack. Pirelli DH slicks 305/690-19. 350R rear wing, GLock R18/R12 pads.
  4. Tiger Racing vs Anderson Composites Vented Hood

I've had the hood on since August.
  5. Tiger Racing vs Anderson Composites Vented Hood

Anderson vented Carbon hood. 2016 GT PP, daily driver with GT 350 manifold and CAI. No issues and the fit and finish is OEM quality or better. I have a Tiger racing hood on my 2011 and would have gotten one for my '16 but I just don't like how it looks. The vents are pinched too close together...
  6. Warranty Engine Replacement. CHECK OILFILTER!

I know of a car of a friend who had his engine replaced due to a cracked block at the starter area.. Not a catastrophic failure but was discovered after two starter failures.

  8. APEX wheel survey to make wide wheels for mustangs

I run 295/40-18 R7s square on 18x10 wheels. Tire height is very close to stock so gearing is close to same +/- 3%. Also any slick that is 680 or 690 mm in overall height is close to stock tire diameter. Steve

  10. S550 Lap Times (Road Course)

Good laps Dave. What does it weigh with the cage but stripped out? Hope to cross paths with you guys somewhere. We should start an event thread, we have one over at TMO. Steve
  11. Ford Performance Track Handling Pack

No sorry to confuse you. I run Team Dynamics 18 x 10" ET 43 offset. with a 8-13mm spacer on the front depending on the tire size. Ford Racing 18" BBS wheels also clear, HRE make a nice 18 x 10.5" wheel that clears too. Forgestar CF5 18's work too. Steve
  12. The effects of too much Toe in rear

All good info from Kelly here. Excessive toe in or out will give serious tire wear issues and some quirky handling, and with too much rear toe out, dangerous handling. I like .10 degree toe in on the rear and -1.75 degrees of camber. This gives good straightline stability under braking, but the...
  13. The Big Fat Track Car Cooling Thread

Jim Don't take the seals off of the fender edges, hood flutter will become a problem. I actually put racers tape over the hood to headlight seams when we were at the Glen and picked up 2 mph approaching the Bus Stop 149-151 mph. I have the vented Anderson Composites hood which I think is doing a...
  14. The Big Fat Track Car Cooling Thread

I have the Anderson hood on my car too. Although CHT and Oil temps are not noticeably lower, but the amount of heat that radiates out through the vents is significant. The design is similar to the tiger racing hoods so evacuating the build up of hot air pressure from under the hood at speed...
  15. Ford Performance Track Handling Pack

You have no issues there Ron. I run 305/660-18 Continentals or 295/40-18 Hoosier R7s on 18 x 10 ET 43 wheels. Front I run a 15 mm spacer but can run as little as 5mm to clear struts and 15" Performance Pack Brembos. Gonna try 315/30-18 R1S on 18x10.5 Ford Racing BBS wheels next. Steve
  16. Warranty Engine Replacement - No Oil Pressure

Wow that is a telling picture on OPG failure. Might have to go billet. Steve
  17. ARH NEWS RELEASE, Oct 05, 2015; ARH will now offer a direct connect system...........

I run the ARH headers and cats with 3" connection to the Corsa Sport 3" x-pipe catback and it is fantastic. Had to trim the ends of the adapter pipes about 3/4" to get the mufflers forward in the hangers but it fits and sound great. Also all monitors complete using JDM tune and anti-foulers. Steve
  18. Car Weight Measurement

That stereo, power seats and subwoofer is heavy. Nice to have but heavy for the track. Steve
  19. Car Weight Measurement

Mike what options do you have on your car? Also mine was weighed with my 18x10 Team Dynamics wheels and Conti 305 race tires which are about 10lbs lighter per corner than stock PP wheels and tires. Also I have rear seat deleted. Steve
  20. Ford Performance Track Handling Pack

I daily drive the FP Track kit on the streets of Manhattan and have done 12 track days so far with the car. The kit performs very well on track, it is liveable on the street but does get harsh over multiple bumps. The sway bars make a huge difference in track performance. Worth the cost. Steve
