FYI...just picked my car up from the dealer.
This was the part installed in the vehicle from the factory: BR3E-8575-BB 180 Degrees
This is the replacement part that Ford sent: BR3E-8575-D 190 Degrees
I was told the "BB" is the designation for a part if it was installed during production...
Does anyone have the revised part # for the updated GT350 thermostat?
What is the temp for it?
The one Ford service pulled out was rated at 180 degrees, the new one they just got in for it is rated at 190 degrees...what's going on here? Is it 190 or 180?
This is my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt!
IF it is your only car year round AND you live in the Northern Rust Belt...pass for now. Wait a couple years, save some $$ and buy a pristine, low mileage GT350 (I am sure there will be A LOT available...people seem to think they are going...
She is at the dealer now. I am hoping they can get a new part quickly.
I wonder if it is a supplier issue on a batch of these or if it is a design problem of the thermostat.
Mike
Any issues with the replacement thermostat? Has the part # changed or has the new thermostat been improved?
Just curious if this is going to be a reoccurring problem...
Thanks!
Mike
Almost positive it is a thermostat problem...just took it for a quick 15 mile round trip to the closest gas station with 93. Check Engine Light came on and the temp never got above 189 degrees the whole trip...
Just got her back. Glad I discovered this before the upcoming track weekend...
Just picked my Gt350 from the dealer today after having them fix a "Service Charging System" (Turned out to be a damaged connector) and change my brake pads back to stock after a track weekend.
I was driving home and noticed after 15 miles of highway driving (62 mph in 5th, outside temp is...
Hey guys...I'm not trying to trash a vendor hear. After talking with them it sounds as though their compound and the stock compound do not play well together. I had 1100 street miles on my car before I changed to the aftermarket pads. I will try these pads again when I change out my rotors...
It is possible the difference in feel is tires and wheels, but I am not sure. It was definitely different feeling. Hard to explain. Different.
No temps were taken in the Super Sports. I will say that after 3 hot laps at Road America they were definitely up to temp!
This is surprising news! I have always changed the lines of my cars to SS before I track them. I hope this is not a DOWNGRADE!
I will check further into this...Thanks!
Mike
Okay folks, I was extremely surprised after driving both at Road America. I am not a professional driver. I have driven roughly 30 HPDE events at Road America over 6 years. I have 1000's of miles driving experience at Road America. I am an average driver at best.

It certainly is less common than earlier. However, I do track my cars quite frequently, I do not think it is going overboard doing brake lines on these cars. Rubber still becomes brittle and weak over time...
Thanks for the input!
Mike
Anyone know of any quality SS Brake lines that fit our cars? Are the GT350 Brake lines specific to the GT350 because of the brake caliper or are they standard Mustang Brake lines?
Thanks!
Mike
I actually am thinking about pulling the A/C...leaving the electronics, I think it will cause a lot of problems to pull the electronics out...
At the end of the day, I am not a good enough driver to be able to notice the 35-45 lbs in lap times, but every bit adds up quick...
Just loving...
I will be able to tell you for sure when the tire comes off the rim Tuesday. I really hope it is the right wheel. I have been waiting for this car for 10 months, I really am not enthused about waiting even a minute more...
I am completely in love with this car. If I could re-order it today...
I am still dealing with this issue. The new tire is going to be fitted on Tuesday next week. According to Ford, the front wheel was incorrect as well. I do not know how this can be the case because it does have the white coating on the inside of the wheel. (I believe only the front wheels...
