  1. 2015-2016 Tech Pack and Base GT350 Cooler Solution Discussion

After I made my list, I noticed the most expensive things were the pump and new (and higher quality IMO) trans oil. This makes me curious as to what is in fords kit for $700 since the pump is not included, and I'm sure the fluid isn't either. Also, the switch is included with the recommended...
  2. 2015-2016 Tech Pack and Base GT350 Cooler Solution Discussion

Here is a quick parts list, if you add in the misc stuff it's a little over $500, but some people may have things like the teflon tape laying around. You can always use different coolers or a cheaper mocal pump. Tilton also makes a pump that is $20 less but not rated for continuous (2+ hour)...
  3. 2015-2016 Tech Pack and Base GT350 Cooler Solution Discussion

I'll get a parts list and a write up done. The pictures will just have to wait until I can get this phone back on.
  4. 2015-2016 Tech Pack and Base GT350 Cooler Solution Discussion

I took lots of detailed pictures in the process, and shortly after my phone broke, so I lost all my notes and pictures. I'm trying to get the phone working again and hopefully then I can detail it all out.
  5. 2015-2016 Tech Pack and Base GT350 Cooler Solution Discussion

Sure thing. I have my coolers on a manual switch. Since my fluid change to BG SynchoShift my trans temps rarely get above 180 without the cooler on even when driving for an hour+. The thermostatic switch that comes with the Weldon 9200 doesn't even click on until 196. I have all the info of...
  6. 2015-2016 Tech Pack and Base GT350 Cooler Solution Discussion

I think it can be located anywhere, but nearest the outlet side of the trans is ideal I would think. Putting this switch in and depending on that means it will turn on at 196 degrees and stay on until 163. That's going to run non-stop. With my poor man manual switch I turn it on immediately upon...
  7. 2015-2016 Tech Pack and Base GT350 Cooler Solution Discussion

Yeah I just don't understand how the hot coolant flows to the switch if it's not reading the inside of the trans.
  8. 2015-2016 Tech Pack and Base GT350 Cooler Solution Discussion

It was the last run of the day so I was pushing pretty hard, also, on the previous run I forgot to turn the cooler on right away. The temp came down immediately on the cool down lap. Still a long ways away from limp mode. Some people see 240's just street driving without the coolers.
  9. 2015-2016 Tech Pack and Base GT350 Cooler Solution Discussion

I agree. My Tilton pump is rsted at 1.7 gpm. I did that in place of mocal because of the continuous duty rating. On a 73 and sunny day my highest trans temp was 203. This is running 3/8 lines.
  10. 2015-2016 Tech Pack and Base GT350 Cooler Solution Discussion

I thought it was rumored that track packs and R's wer 3gpm
  11. 2015-2016 Tech Pack and Base GT350 Cooler Solution Discussion

It's interesting that the flow rate of the Weldon 9200 is so low. Around 30-32gph. This is much different than the 1.5-2.1gpm that those of us who created our own solution assumed. Also, that recommended pump is $429 + $695 kit + 150? Lines and fittings + $100 new oil?. I'm fine with my <$500...
  12. Another noob question about shifting in the 350

Sounds like something is wrong. My 3-4 shift is easily done in under a second without any extra pressure. It is as simple as any shift.
  13. Recall and Immediate Stop Sale on 8,026 GT350 and GT350R Models: Engine Oil Cooler

Well I'm not going to put brand new oil in my car just for ford to drain it to change the cooler lines
  14. '17 ZL1 Nürburgring Lap Time of 7:29:60...WOW...

I'm not upset about it at all. The 350/R has 3 model years out already. The Camaro still isn't even up on their website. This is just natural progressive competition. The 500 should be the next step. Whatever you buy will always be old news in a few years. I like the ZL1, I would consider...
  15. Lucas Oil 5w-50 Synthetic - meets or exceeds WSS-M2C931-C - Coming Soon

Lucas is the oil run in the Track Attack cars FWIW This could be a development directly from that.
  16. Engine Break-In

Change the oil every 13.6 miles for the first 32,000 miles. Never exceed 1000RPM. No really, just drive it, it'll be fine. You don't need a special break in routine. Just always make sure th engine is warmed up, but that's universal. Also, this may throw some people up in arms but....the oil...
  17. Where do you buy your oil from?

I think you're 16 and the cars are your parents/relatives. I'm basing this on these threads, and your dainty thumb.
  18. Bossing's GT350 journey....

Bossing, she was good to me, I won't tell you who she said was her favorite.
