I had a similar yet more destructive experience years ago. I brought my 1978 Z28 in for tires and a wheel balance. The car from the factory had a meager amount of power. I had rebuilt the motor to ~350hp. Well the technician decided he needed to test drive it after completing the work and guess...
Thanks for the info, I didn't dig that deep into it. It was dark when I test drove it. It looked grey at first and then I parked it under better lighting and the green came out. It looks spectacular in the sun shine, imo.
My grandmother gave me her car! A 1965 Rambler station wagon. Pretty bad ass to show up at high school in that car. (this is not the car I had just a image from the net).
Well I couldn't wait and the wife didn't seem to care so I installed the braces today. Worst part was getting the wheel puller for the wiper arm removal (3 stores and an hour of wasted time for a $9 puller). Took the car for a short test ride and it feels tighter. I will have to really test...
I feel like this is the gateway drug part. low cost, easy to install, looks good, and "improves handling". I haven't even installed it and I want to find my parts dealer and get another fix!
Thanks for the replies an suggestions everyone. I'm taking the advice of @K4fxd. I just ordered the strut tower brace and the extension panel. They are X-mas gifts from my wife, she will find out that soon. I'll post once they are in.
I am not insulted. At least I am not imagining it. I saw the Stop The Hop kit and the install looks like it all makes sense. I am not going to go wild on the car, it's my fun car to drive but I will look into improving the handling over time.
That's some nice driving @Dana Pants . I ordered the extension panel from the dealer and I am getting the strut tower brace very soon, I might have to let this be a Christmas gift from my wife :).
I did feel some unsettling rear wheel hop/skipping this weekend. I was in a 180 turn. this is an...
This is Lyla, we got her from a rescue. She was from Kentucky and was not well treated. She was so scared of everything and everyone and it took a lot of time for her to settle down. She is such a great dog and now loves everyone that comes through the door, especially if they give her treats!
So I went and looked under my car today and it has the lower K bracket. I looked at the original window sticker for the car and it doesn't mention any performance package. This will save me a little effort and a few bucks. I'll still need the cowl extension and strut tower brackets. I'm glad I...
I really appreciate the quick responses. It looks like the strut tower, upper and lower K mounts are the place to start. I would have gone off and got a sway bar first. Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi everyone,
I just purchased a 2016 ecoboost Mustang with 6 speed stick. It's really fun to drive but I have noticed it pushing into turns.
1. This is my daily driver and I want it to be comfortable
2. I am an engineer so I am cheap
3. I tend to make one change at a time so that I don't confuse...
