My son and I did the install of my MGW shifter today. Did it the hard way, on the garage floor with the car up on ramps. I figured it would take a couple hours - it worked out to be a little more than three. The 10mm bolt that attaches that shifter mount to the transmission was the...

Okay - screwed that up! Here is the others thread (of the same title) that I meant to reference.....
Thanks for the info....i miss my sales person as he understood the game. My problem with the dealer is that I've talked to three different folks and not one of them had the foggiest idea what I was talking about. The guy that handles their internet sales said that he asked everyone what an...
I bought mine in early April, and haven't received my supplement yet, I called FP and they said my dealer hasn't registered the sale yet. I called the dealer, and after a long run around - nobody knows anything about this. It really sucks! My sales person was a good guy, and a bit of a Mustang...
Me too! Got the word that mine is on its way today! Install next weekend - I hope! As long as I'm taking things apart, I got some Alcantra bits to go on when I put it back together.
So I called today to update my order with the discount code. I've got to say - you all have the nicest folks answering your phones! Very pleasant and helpful, it is a nice change from what passes for normal these days.
Look forward to getting that shifter!!
They don't show the shifter on their site yet, but if you google MGW Precision Shifters it will take you there. Nice folks and quality products! Call them if you are interested, they may have some left from the first run.
I got the call from MGW Shifters today and completed the order for one of their new shifters. Looks like they are just a few weeks away from shipping these. Surprised that the price was so low, given all the development. Really looking forward to getting that installed!
You can't stop getting older, but you can stay immature forever! I'm in with the old farts - 64 years old. This is the 5th mustang - and the most fun car I've ever owned. It makes me smile every time we go out.
I can wait until MGW and George get them the way they like them.....I'd rather have them right than soon. I'm sitting on some awesome Alcantara goodies that will be installed at the same time. Looking forward to doing the install.
I'm sorry to have to say this, but your man card has been temporarily suspended. Any further sensible behavior will dealt with more severely.
Sincerely
The Man Club Management Committee. :headbang:
That was my solution as well. The stock shifter is not really bad, but I think MGW will be right. Hoping they finish the first run and start shipping soon!
Thanks for the responses so far! The real question that I was hoping for was exactly that question above........what did you change - and what did you get for the changes. I know there will be folks that will rave about their mods - well because they spent the money, so it must have been worth...
I love driving my GT350 Tech Package - I know, I should probably just part the thing out because I don't have the tranny and diff cooler (yet) :headbonk:. The power train is great, but way this car handles is what really makes me smile every time. I may never track this car, or maybe just a...
Been a while since anyone posted on this. The engine in my G2167 Was built by Frank Poma and Doyle F Nanney. They did a solid job, my engine runs great!
