This explains why when I tried to chat with FP this morning to get my latest status, I was told to call in and ask for Noah. Interesting. I'll be giving him a call in a bit.
I'm pretty certain if history repeats itself, they will continue to produce non CFTP GT500s through the winter, as they have done in the past with GT350's vs GT350R's. It doesn't make sense to me that they would stop all GT500 production, when they have not done that before with the Shelby cars.
I contacted the GM at my dealer and he stated that he has all of that in a box in his office, waiting for me! Can't wait. Just need them to build the car now. :cwl:
So, we are now hearing once again that all GT500 production is stopping between December and March. Does anyone know if this is true, or is that only true for CFTP cars such as they have done in the past with 350R production?
@NoahwithFP can you confirm that ALL GT500 production will cease...
That's not too bad. I think you're safe to be built this year at least. You have a good buffer between your build day and the plant closure. Whereas I am down to no buffer. lol!
My build, VIN 0775, has been rescheduled once again to day of 12/20. I'm guessing this means that in all likelihood, it won't be built until the new year.
Thanks guys. My gut tells me I'm getting pushed into the New Year. I'm staying positive and optimistic, as it is what it is. I'd rather it be built right, than quick. And it's just giving more time to save for a huge down payment.
My car (0775) is now scheduled to day of 12/16, not just week of. Sure hope it's built sometime that week, since that's the last chance before the holiday shutdown.
