No, for neutral, simply pull both paddles in and hold them, regardless of mode as far as I know. As long as you hold them in, you'll be in neutral and can rev to your hearts desire. The other trick is downshifting for roll racing or just having fun. Pull the left paddle in for 3 seconds...
