So, the obvious now. What is the process to track things? I have a page with an order number and dealer number. Is that all that is needed?
GM told me that the order was put in and that Ford would "pick it up" on Thursday. She said after that, I should be able to follow progress online, but...
Once our cars come in, we definitely need to sync up with PP001 and the other GT350's for a meetup in Charlotte or Columbia. I think Columbia, SC is the middle of all of us, but not a whole lot going on there.
It is alarming how similar our car ordering experiences were. I kicked around the no AC version and basically was told no.
Started off with Lightning Blue, black stripes, was told no.
Switched to Ruby Red, black roof, was told no.
Started showing her Black with black OTT and while...
I went with Electronics. I just couldn't deal with not having an AC. Not so much the radio for me, but needed AC in this heat. This car will likely be driven about 10K miles a year, so comfort is important. We definitely need to get together once the cars come in. I was told that my order...
I am going to be jealous when I see your RR as you know that was my original choice. Have to keep the mrs happy though and in the end, I get the pleasure of driving it while she gets to enjoy the looks. Side note, I put the GT-R up for sale yesterday and I think it sold in a record, one day...
That, I have no idea. I can only assume that it is that I said SC. There are only so many dealers. The sales manager told me today that they have received no less than 10 calls about the car on Saturday and Monday. I only told 3 people which dealer it was on this forum via PM or phone call.
No worries at all man. I didn't mean to come off as being pissed or a jerk. Was simply giving the forum hell as I assumed my original post is what drummed up the interest in this particular R. Now, I was told that someone came in on Saturday and offered to put down a deposit on the car that...
Yeah, that is the vibe I got tonight. Apparently, the guy that went in on Saturday was upset that they wouldn't accept his deposit and informed them that the car was worth $10K over and he would do that on the spot.
I assume it was someone on the forum as they didn't even know they had the...
Ahh. They just said that the person that stopped by on Saturday was upset that they wouldn't accept the deposit. I presumed it was you. I had no thoughts of you trying to "backdoor" me as I didn't learn of anyone visiting the dealer until about 5:30 when I was in the dealership today...
Hmm. Yeah, they told me something a bit different. No worries though. We eventually got back to where we started originally. I was led to believe that they were told that the car was worth more than $7500 over and that you offered $10K. That being said, they did say that they had received...
Dealer said you pressured them pretty heavily to accept $10K over to boot me out of line. You and some dude named Ceasar. It took quite a bit of talking to get the deal I wanted. Unfortunate part is that I was unaware of the "uptick" until I got there, after a 2hr drive.
This one is locked up fellas. Actually had to negotiate back to original price. Funny enough, after posting here, dealer got a lot of calls and offers. Seems like most are good with 10K ADM.
