Ugh. I *NEED* track time. I went to call Lockton Affinity on Friday but the weather channel was calling for thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday so I passed. Of course it didn't rain. I'll be looking for another Sebring track day soon.
First, THANK YOU!!!
Second, holy poke!! The front fenders are wider on the Shelbys, right? Have you ever tried your Project 6gr R spec wheels on a regular 5.0?
I estimate that the front offset will be around +42mm but I don't want to estimate. I'd like to know the factory number.
One thing's for sure- it is some pretty aggressive fitment for a production car. I figure GM puts so much rubber on the Z28s, it was good that Ford stepped up and threw some...
I spent quite a bit of time searching here and on the net. Does anyone know the offsets for the GT350R Carbon fiber wheels?
It looks like the rears are 19x11.5 +56mm, I think, but I haven't found the fronts yet.
Car is Race Red. Photos were shot on my iPhone 6s. I've noticed when the camera decides to shoot in HDR, the red looks sort of orange. (like the pic looking at the rear, straight on)
Installed the CDC spoiler (from UPR) on my Race Red 2016 today. I like the GT350 Track Pack spoiler and even the MMD V-series, but I felt like the CDC spoiler was nice and subtle. Took it to the dealership where I bought my car and they charged $170 to paint it.
Looks good! It's funny how many people don't know what Forgelines are. I bought my first set back in 2000. I put a set of gray GA1Rs on my 2011 5.0 a couple years ago and people kept thinking they were Forgestars. Ummm... nope!
Sorry- I just now saw this. Metal pieces come out of the vertical links pretty easily. I didn't try to push the poly bushings out, but I wouldn't think it's that difficult. I liked how they look in natural aluminum so I didn't touch them.
I think they're bare aluminum, but if you call us at 561.588.6630 we can discuss it in more detail. I think the links on my car are safe though. I feel like the car is pretty fast, but it doesn't cruise at 500mph at 30,000 feet. :)
Thanks guys. This is more along the lines of what I was looking for- a more substantive conversation than "don't go too low."
I think what I'll do is try to get as much video as possible at the current ride height at Sebring in a couple weeks. I have the feeling the suspension won't travel...
