I completely relied on the dealership for transport and logistics (thinking they were the experts because I've never bought a vehicle that wasn't local). Once I find out who they used, I'll make sure to post it here!
According to the dealership, everything was fine and inspected. I even called and asked if they would do a full inspection and tell me if any imperfections existed. Furthermore, they claimed that they watched the car get loaded onto the transport and there was no damage at the time. The...
They were willing to cover the cost of the repairs, but the detailing work to get it prepped was terrible (scratches and such). Also, I just had a bad feeling about all of it and didn't expect to have repairs needed on a brand new car.
Yeah, I decided to cancel that deal in favor of a brand new car at a different dealership. Once the car came off of the carrier, I had my buddy (who worked as a detailer at a car dealership) look at it and he simply said "if I were you, I wouldn't take this car". Also, I wasn't expecting to have...
Hey there everyone, I had a terrible day. My GT350R came in on an enclosed transport from a dealership and had the following issues:
(1) Swirl marks and scratches in paint (due to terrible dealer prep)
(2) Chunk taken of the wheel and tire
(3) Scrapes on front splitter
I spent close to...
I have some terrible news. After the GT350R was unloaded from the transport I couldn't believe what I saw:
(1) Chunk of the rim and tire taken out
(2) Scrapes on front splitter
(3) Scratch marks on random areas of the car due to poor dealer prep
I talked to the sales manager and they tried to...
Sorry for not updating this thready my friends, but I actually ended up purchasing a BRAND NEW GT350R from a dealership in Southern California. I actually tried calling McDavid Ford (someone mentioned them in this thread) and they refused to move from 20K over MSRP; however, Sunrise Ford hooked...
Wow! Well, in Cali, its IMPOSSIBLE to find an R for anything less than 20K over. I had to fight to find 15K over. I was about to get one at 10K over, but I wasn't happy with the color and even that deal wasn't set in stone; it was pending management approval. In any case, my car is on the way...
Yup! As far as I know.
Tell them Sandeep sent you and they'll hook it up. They were more than fair to me, but I just preferred to go with a brand new one. Make sure to speak with Michael in sales.
I decided not to go with the Los Gatos one because I was getting a new one at a great price that I could not pass up! The Los Gatos one is still legit and recommend folks check it out!
Looks like they are going to comp the enclosed transport and I should have my car by Saturday morning! However, now the only issue I have is....making sure I don't scrape my own lip when parking in the damn parking garage, lol.
Not sure, but we'll see what happens. At the end of the day, the papers have been filled, the warranty has been negotiated, and everything is ready to go. The only thing left is transportation. It would be odd for them to just cancel a deal that has come so far based on $1000. Right?
Well, the deal is for a trade, so they have to get my car first. The only way they can do that is through transport. Technically, they are SOL because they could loose a huge deal over $1000 - $1500.
I've paid for the open transport, but I really don't want to pay more. I would be surprised if the dealership were willing to shut down the deal over $1000 or $1500.
Thanks! This is a good point. We'll see what solution we arrive at tomorrow. Whatever it is, I am not willing to put any more money down. I've already stretched my budget to afford this.
