  1. 2.3EB Vs 2.7 Vs 3.5

5.0 ecoboost? Oh please be true
  2. Baby Seat in S550

I have had my 01 cobra vert the whole time I have had my 3 year old, it isn't fun getting him in and out but it isn't something that's going to keep me from buying another mustang. The s550 back seat should be a whole lot bigger than mine, too.
  3. 2015 Mustang to race at Goodwood THIS Saturday (updated w/ videos)

Does anyone know what cars race in the supercar class?
  4. What Are You Excited For?

7.62???? Get rid of that AK and get an AR! 5.56 FTW! Merica. Jk bro nice keychain.
  5. Purported "official" 2015 Mustang weight specs - via dealer manual source book

Is that last part true, did they really change the curb weight standards? If so, that changes everything. And squid, I agree completely with what you said, I'm being a vocal minority. I still really like the car, I am excited to see what it can do, I'm just figuring out what is going to be...
  6. Purported "official" 2015 Mustang weight specs - via dealer manual source book

I'm one of those afflicted with straight line addiction, and weight means a lot. Like pulling sound deadening and 5mph bumpers out of the bumper covers etc. to get a couple hundred pounds a lot. I honestly want to see what the gt350 weighs now, although that will be a long "weight." I might end...
  7. Purported "official" 2015 Mustang weight specs - via dealer manual source book

Because I'm a die hard mustang fan who has owned many and plans to own many more? Just because I'm no longer buying one doesn't mean I don't love the car nor does it mean I'm not interested in future developments. Also for discussion like every other person on this forum. Cool? Also, the...
  8. Purported "official" 2015 Mustang weight specs - via dealer manual source book

+1 Edit: also still only talking about drag racing. Platform changes won't really change much of that, it is all power + weight + gearing. Suspension matters for hooking up, but I don't see a lot gained or lost either way stock for stock.
  9. Purported "official" 2015 Mustang weight specs - via dealer manual source book

First, comparing a 15 to a 16 is pretty normal, and is nothing like comparing a 15 to a 2030. It is the next refresh just like the 15 is the refresh for the mustang, and they will compete head to head brand new, same time. So that is a legit comparison. Second, that is entirely assuming and...
  10. Purported "official" 2015 Mustang weight specs - via dealer manual source book

But loaded with a ton of options. You'd have to compare a fully loaded v6 to that weight to get a better comparison. Edit: Meh maybe the dimensions make up for the added options. I bet that would be a close guess to an alpha v6 maro. That would put stang and camaro dead on for weight. Let's...
  11. Purported "official" 2015 Mustang weight specs - via dealer manual source book

Yes they did. I like the car just doesn't fit what I want. I want a lightweight new 5.0 to mess with. I have built fox bodies including one with a 347 stroker on nitrous, hence my screen name 347 small block ford. So really I am looking at only weight, I was hoping the s550 would have dropped...
  12. Purported "official" 2015 Mustang weight specs - via dealer manual source book

Weight is my issue here. And it is 100 lbs. I understand that the s550 stock will be quicker. With the money I save I can make the 2011 a monster. Let me renig a little and say if gained a very healthy amount of HP and Torque I might change my mind back. But 20 HP with the weight gain is more...
  13. Purported "official" 2015 Mustang weight specs - via dealer manual source book

No but it probably will make me buy a 2011 at quite a few thousand dollars difference. I race in a straight line and intend on modding my car so HP is irrelevant within 30-40. Quiet honestly yes, this has changed my mind on what I'm buying next year.
  14. Purported "official" 2015 Mustang weight specs - via dealer manual source book

Ugh I'm not. What a porker. (Don't take it personally guys please. Just not the direction they needed to go RE: Alpha camaro with LT1) Edit: to drive my point home I would have rather it lost weight, and stayed the same HP, they could throw on DI down the line. Anyway looks like a 11-14 for me.
  15. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

We understand what you are saying, it just doesn't work that way. Take a f-250 and f-350 similarly equipped, same configuration. Their curb weight are fairly close, a lot closer than their gvwr, which will have a much wider gap. Understand? You cannot go on gvwrs to even guess the curb weight on...
  16. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

They could increase (or decrease) the gvwr because of the new IRS and/or chassis so you can't really compare the gvwr between one and the other to make assumptions about curb weight. Doesn't work that way.
  17. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

Like the car and am not knocking it, but you are wrong saying the weight doesn't kick in until after the quarter. The reason an engine that stout doesn't run a high 12 is all because of the weight. Weight is also something that makes the difference between wheel spin (and hop) and traction...
  18. Rumor: Steeda Blog - 2015 Mustang Weight Gain (Updated with Steeda's Response)

Amen. To the questions asked earlier. Who cares? I do. Will you actually be drag racing a new camaro? Yes. Does it matter that it gained weight if they added HP too? Yes, I was going to add horsepower myself just like I always have. With the Alpha camaro coming out soon, I saw weight as a bigger...
