  1. Selling GT350R for new Porsche 718 Spyder?

I hear ya. I've got two friends with two cars on the same ship, well, sitting in the same port now. GT4 and a Cayman GTS. They are NOT happy! Plus a 3rd who just bought a new GT4 off the showroom floor. He's hoping his car is safe - so far so good.
  2. Tire Dressings-which ones?

I just got an email that CG is having a sale. I checked and the VRP is 20% off.
  3. Tire Dressings-which ones?

I washed my DD'er this weekend. It had CG VRP on it from a month or so ago. As I cleaned my rims, the tires were still in great shape. Often times I don't even re-dress them. The water beads off and I just leave them alone until next time. I touched them up anyway since this was only my second...
  4. Selling GT350R for new Porsche 718 Spyder?

Well, yes and no. First of all, it's actually now a recall, so they had to provide the details to NHTS. But that was after about a week or more of rumors and speculation. And since the problem is a bolt that was supplied by an outside vendor, they were probably eager to point the finger outside...
  5. Selling GT350R for new Porsche 718 Spyder?

Well, for those who may be trying to take delivery of any 4.0L P car right now (GTS, Spyder, GT4) I'm sure you know what's going on. For those who don't know, let's just say: if you think the mystery Voodoo motor failures is bad, this one is just nutty! It seems as if a batch of rod bolts have...
  6. Pilot Super Sport vs Sport Cup 2 - Advice Needed

As stated above, the one that is NOT marked for BMW or Benz. See my link to Tirerack.
  7. Pilot Super Sport vs Sport Cup 2 - Advice Needed

I'll answer my own question a little. Searching on TireRack by size for 295's, I get this result, and I see that there are Mercedes and BMW listed tires and one without a brand. What's interesting is if you select all three and click compare, you'll see some slight differences like weight...
  8. Pilot Super Sport vs Sport Cup 2 - Advice Needed

I just re-read this comment. So the front PSS 295 size tire will either say BMW, Mercedes, or nothing on it? There's not any other non-bespoke version? Sorry to keep asking, I just want to be sure. Tnx. I hear ya! Nothing wrong with that. But I'm not a racer, just a street guy mostly.
  9. Pilot Super Sport vs Sport Cup 2 - Advice Needed

I had no plans or need to go up to the Cup2 and give up treadwear life (and the added cost of the tires). Plus, wouldn't that go against what the article talks about, in that my car was designed for the PSS. When Ford put the Cup2 on the GT350's they also made some suspension changes.
  10. Pilot Super Sport vs Sport Cup 2 - Advice Needed

Thanks, but how can you tell you are actually getting the right tire when it shows up if my PSS have no markings on the front tires?
  11. Pilot Super Sport vs Sport Cup 2 - Advice Needed

Wow! Just wow. I love my 2018's PSS. How do you know you are getting the bespoke tire? Similar to the question above.
  12. Pilot Super Sport vs Sport Cup 2 - Advice Needed

Well look at that, you're right! I could have sworn I saw it there yesterday! I assume it's coming down the road (no pun intended).
  13. Pilot Super Sport vs Sport Cup 2 - Advice Needed

So for the PSS vs PS4S conversation, what are the pros/cons of each? I have an `18 and LOVE the PSS. I'm mostly street driving and did do a DE day where the tires were clearly above my ability and risk tolerance level. I've got 8k miles on them and they seem good so far in terms of longevity...
  14. Tire Dressings-which ones?

As others have said, Chemical Guys VRP. It looks natural, not too shiny. And as said before, no fling and lasts a very long time. If you want to try something else, feel free to come and empty my shelf of all the other products I no longer use after buying VRP! LOL
  15. Display when on track?

    Good feedback. Thanks all.
  16. Display when on track?

I can't get over how you're supposed to run that low of a pressure. I would think that if the car/tire calls for 32 PSI cold, that they anticipate it getting hot when driven. Don't get me wrong, I believe you, and I assume you are adjusting based on traction results on the track as you vary...
  17. Display when on track?

So on the GT350 with Super Sports, what do you suggest starting at and what's "warm"?
  18. Display when on track?

What do you select to display when you're on the track? I saw an interior shot once on YouTube where the guy had the tire pressure showing. So I was wondering, what do people display and why? MPH? Oil temp? Other temps? Gas Mileage? (just wanted to see if you were paying attention) What do...
  19. What are you using for non-track/street brake pads?

No. By initial bite I mean that when you first apply the brake - or more accurately, when you ever so lightly and gently bring your foot even close to the brake pedal, THE CAR BRAKES LIKE YOU JUST SPOTTED A 1965 COBRA IN A BARN WITH A SIGN THAT SAYS "FREE TO GOOD HOME!" Every time someone else...
