  1. The $6,500 or $7,500 question.

Tech package all the way. I will autox and HPDE, but generally I am going to DD it, so its the right compromise for me. It would have been nice if Ford let us pick individual options, but alas, they did not.....It's all good......Steve
  2. Already put 2300 miles on my shelby gt350

Good for you OP. I Put 10K miles on my F430 in three years, took it everywhere for any reason. It was the greatest joy of my life. We all do things our own way, but I am no collector of cars, they are consumables and I am going to empty the can. And then get a new can of something else fun...
  3. Got a VIN now what

    Yes, no matter what, we all will have to wait until the car is safely home for the first time ;-}
  4. Got a VIN now what

I just got my vin and dealer screen print of projected build date. At least your dealer can look up the current status. If there is a public site you can go there or someone here can direct you or search the forums.......Steve
  5. Received vin #, too late to change color?

I hope you can change if you want to, but that is exactly what I have ordered and I got the call yesterday that I have a VIN with a December build date. I live in the middle of Iowa, so was surprised that it came up so soon. I was figuring March, in the end it's all good......Good...
  6. I asked Jamal Hameedi about the media embargo on the GT350

Let's just go with streetable for the GT350 as race cars cannot be registered for use on public roads.....Steve
  7. 1K over sticker, potentially backing out...

In the end just call the dealer and ask them.......It will all be OK........Steve
  8. Cars are approved to ship!

If GM and Dodge can ship the Z06 and the Viper with much wider tires why would the R be different?
  9. Speculation

I am a very fortunate and grateful man as I can buy 1 to 2 new cars per year. I do not collect them, but experience them. I am getting a GT350 for the fun of it and I think that is worth the price of admission. If you want a sure thing that has been out for awhile, you can pick up a Z/28...
  10. Good News on 2015s Shipping...I hope

If money is not an issue then there are many remarkable cars to choose from including the Viper. The GT350 is one hell of a package and also unique and distinctive in it's own way, so it will be very special. I will get a Viper at some point just to have one for the experience, but I am...
  11. 2016 Shelby GT350 Allocations

I agree and would wonder if they will take a form of the v6 that is going into the new GT and leverage that.......Steve
  12. Good News on 2015s Shipping...I hope

Totally different cars. The GT500 was modded and I put 3.73 gears in it. So it was a beast to drive and a blast, since it would spin it up in 3rd at 80 on the highway. That was crazy power and the car really needed full time DRs to get any traction. I loved it, But it was an unrefined car...
  13. GT350 Production #'s & What would u do?

Having just traded by modded 14 GT500 for the HC and then the HC for the GT350 when it comes, I will report back with my experiences. Until then, we are speculating on many things. The one thing for sure, is the HC and GT350 have clearly different design goals.......Steve
  14. GT350 Production #'s & What would u do?

You do not have to track a car to enjoy it. The GT350 will be special and that is enough for me. I will get to a few autox and HPDEs, but generally just drive it as a DD. We all can use our cars the way we want. Heck, some will only drive them a grand or two a year on nice days. If it...
  15. Anybody Buying The Extended Warranty For Their GT350?

There must be some reason you want one beyond the cost. If you love cars, then this one is going to be killer good and I have had a lot of cars (Average 1-2 new per year). You live once and then its game over. Will you regret saving the money more than buying the car is up to you........Steve
  16. Good News on 2015s Shipping...I hope

I also love all cars so the new Viper has been on my mind since I have not had one yet. I think it has become refined enough to drive on a regular basis unlike previous generations (my opinion only). The 392 is an awesome car for the money. I have always loved the STI and have come close to...
  17. Anybody Buying The Extended Warranty For Their GT350?

If its a keeper, then no harm in the extended warranty as you amortize the cost over 7 years. This is a complex beast, and major drive line repairs will be expensive. Just a piece of mind thing as these motors are new and who knows how they will hold up. I only keep cars a year or so, so I...
  18. Good News on 2015s Shipping...I hope

I do indeed have an HC and I am really loving it for what it is. So please no bashing from the fan folks. It reminds me a lot of my CTS-V, huge power and heavy, but a great highway brute. My dealer called and said he had one for me, so I traded my modded 14 GT500 for it. Both cars are...
  19. Good News on 2015s Shipping...I hope

At this point I am OK with that, I am fine with it coming in April. It's almost time to put the Hellcat away for the winter, so fun time is over....sigh!!!! :(
  20. Good News on 2015s Shipping...I hope

Non in my region of Iowa but getting close My dealer sent me this screen shot which shows 8 cars built in neighboring states. None have been allocated to our region yet. But at least something is happening.....Steve
