They way they word it is a little tongue-in-cheek. they say "50yrs" instead of something like "limited edition", that way they can put them on the anniversary packages also, and there's nothing really 'unique" about what was promised...

I'm pretty sure in some of the early press releases about the LE, it had listed "Lighted Door Sills", or maybe "Unique Door Sills", listed as an item to distinguish between the LE and the anniversary package. They must've left off te part about the extra $300, though. My poor search abilities...

Think about it from another perspective. Turning the lights off may make it less likely for a cop to see you.
