All I'm doing is referring to the massive amount of S550 threads I came across on multiple platforms after my weeks of investigating this noise. Not at all saying every 350 or other trim will see this, but I have easily seen a trend with either retorquing or replacing the hub has cured quite a...
Thanks for the link, and absolutely agree. However, when it comes to the axle nuts on pretty much all S550 trims, they all seem to have the same problems and procedures.
I don’t have any references at this moment, but over my last few weeks of research, the first thing I came across is what you describe. But the deeper I went, I found that more recent posts mentioned an updated procedure.
A few weeks ago, I picked up a 2020 GT350 Heritage with only 10,600 miles. Within a few days, I started picking up on a faint knock/pop sound from the passenger rear. Started researching this, and a lot of it pointed to the axle nuts.
So I got the rear up in the air and just to have an idea of...
Great question. I just installed the MBRP on my 350 a couple days ago. Was wondering the same thing. I would assume it’s not needed, as there are no resonators there anymore that produce more heat, but I could be wrong. I even considered getting some heat wrap, but that could do more harm as it...
One of your garage pictures, possibly on another forum, encouraged me to find a Heritage 350. I think I stumbled upon it a couple months ago, saved it to my phone. Both your R and CS. The lighting was perfect on the 350R and the Wimbledon White was savory. A few weeks later, I'm in a GT350...
Appreciate the welcomes! Car has been a blast the last couple weeks. It's always an experience, even in mundane traffic and daily driving. Absolutely love it.
My two favorite cars... the GT350 and E9x M3. Funny, because before I got into the 350, I considered getting back into an E9x. But as...
Just wrapped up a couple days of work on my recently acquired 350 Heritage. Wheels off, undercarriage and wheel well decon/scrub down, single stage paint correction (didn’t really need it), and Adam’s Graphene ceramic coat. This car is my daily and sits outside a lot, so needed every exterior...
Absolutely LOVED the Blackwing. However, it was overkill in just about every way, and the GT350 itch was getting annoying. I traded it into Ted Britt Ford in Fairfax, VA. I think they have it listed for $92k.
Hey! See ya around.
My first S550, Mustang, even Ford. I think I registered here back...
Hey everyone, recently picked up a 2020 350 Heritage Edition. My first Shelby Mustang, and a car I’ve been lusting after for the past 8 years. It’s been a phenomenal car so far with loads of character. It’s my daily driver collecting about 50 miles a day. I’m a sucker for dailying ridiculous...
I'm in Virginia Beach, and I currently own an M3. I have had the M for almost a year now. It's a hard car to walk away from... it has tons of soul, and revving a V8 to 8,300 RPM is a drug.
Just got back from a test drive...
Initial impressions were very good. I was quite impressed with the shifter and feel; reminded me a lot of my old S2000s, which has one of the best shifters on the market. The engine did feel pretty lively. I was actually surprised by that. Didn't feel as peppy...
Thanks a ton guys, for all the feedback!
One of the motivating factors to possibly making the switch really comes down to money. A new GT is priced very well, and parts/repairs seem much cheaper compared to the M3. I have always modified every car I've owned, and honestly, good aftermarket...
Curious if anyone here has made the move. I currently own a 2011 E90 M3 (Comp, EDC, 6MT). It's an amazing car, with a ton of character; it's engine and chassis are fantastic. I keep considering the '15+ GTs, and I might go out this week to test drive a few.
Before I pulled the trigger on the...
Ian, thanks for letting me tag along. Following you after leaving the dealership was amazing. This thing has such a strong presence on the road. And the sound... God it sounds so good.
