I plan on painting my engine cover and coil covers real soon. I havent taken off the coil covers yet but i assume its ok to drive without them for a few days?
I just installed them this weekend but I have a 2016. I would either contact Opt-7 or test them before installing. Thats what I did. I tested them multiple times throughout the install just to make sure.
Mine is a 2016 so no trouble at all. The install was really easy. Hardest part was taking off the rim to get inside the fender well. It could technically be done from under the car but I felt removing the rim was faster. Its just a bunch of 7mm bolts and a few clips to take it out and put back in
Thanks, I saw that. That answers the thickness of the grips not diameter of the overall wheel compared to oem. Screen grab from the CJPP install video makes it look larger but just wanted to check
Is the diameter of the CJPP wheel the same or larger than the oem wheel? Been trying to tell via pictures and videos but there havent been too many with them side by side. Thinking of snagging this during the labor day sale.

Thanks. I totally agree that the only opinion that matters is your own.
I also couldnt stand the chrome/aluminum look.
1. You technically dont have to remove the door pulls to wrap them but it does make it a lot easier and it will be very difficult to wrap around the edge...
Not really sure what you mean by that. To each his own. I like it and its been in the car since November which is when this thread was originally posted.
For those of you with red painted calipers, what did you use? G2 ruby red kit(1 or 2 kits)? Something else?
I am wanting to paint mine soon and trying to decide what to do.
