I can post up pic of my old bearing while running 20w50 shifting at 7800rpm and 730whp they look brand new. Every car I built or boosted ran 20w50 amsoil and in the winter I ran 5w50

The first number is the weight for when the oil is cold

All I'm saying is 5w-20 is very thin and a boosted motor needs more protection 40w or 50w will do the job

Recommend oil from ford if motorcraft 5w-50

And you think a gt350 or gt500 is going to have looser clearance from the factor yet they still run a 50w

Even with a synthetic, viscosity changes with temperature. Selecting the correct viscosity for an application requires knowing the operating temperature of the oil. But it's a reason why the gt500 and gt350 run a 50w

Thicker oil will give you better protection especially on a boosted motor that sees more heat, 5w-20 looks like water when it's hot

A tial is 1000 times quiter then a max flow. The tial has a rush of air sound and the max flow has that annoying whistle
