Thank you to everyone for the suggestions about this spacer plate. I'm going to get in contact with the Ford Service Center as soon as possible, and see about having this plate replaced. I'll try to keep this thread updated with the progress of having this issue resolved.

Well, apparently I was mistaken when I thought my GT350R would be a reliable car. So far I've had the AC stop working in the middle of summer due to a faulty ambient temperature sensor, the dual-mode exhaust system malfunction due to a seized exhaust actuator, and the engine completely replaced...

My engine was successfully replaced under warranty with a 2019 GT350R engine. I've racked up 1000 miles so far on the new engine without any noticeable oil consumption. So far, so good. I've updated my original post to reflect the engine's current status.

I'm running these same tires on my GT350R, except I'm running staggered with 325s in the back. They completely eliminated the tramlining I was experiencing with the cup 2s, and they have a longer tread life on the street. They were definitely worth the purchase.
